Once McEwen finds out that Iowa State is the place for all great Canadian players he'll be joining Wiggy and Shayok in Cardinal and Gold.

Surprised this hasn't been discussed but this is the obvious #1 want for me. I think we'll be in hard on this one

Koby McEwen would be an absolute grand slam. Sit 1, play 2, correct? 6'4" combo guard who averaged nearly 16 ppg as a soph. 42% from 3. He'd look pretty nice in that backcourt in 2019/2020 for sure! #1 on my wish list as well.

Here's an intriguing PG from Milwaukee. Highest rated PG Groce recruited to Illinois, sit one play 2.

@JWerner247 JUST IN: Te’Jon Lucas leaving #Illini too

Man - do they have anyone left? How I imagine Illinois' BB practices next year:

Way up there
McEwen, fewer 3s as a soph w/ a dramatic increase in percentage. want

he took 70 more 3's as a soph and his percentage went down 9%....he also got the FT line much less. Interesting his points or other stats really didn't change much but how he got them certainly did. Seems like he got to the rim more as a frosh, he missed a few games with an ankle injury, I wonder if that had a hand in why he was such a different style of player.

None of that really matters, he looks like a perfect fit and would be a home run, just interesting to see a guy who was a good player change his game and still be a good player. I'm guessing the injury made him more of a shooter than slasher.

You have it backwards. He shot more 3's as a sophomore and made a lower percentage.
72% FT shooter both seasons, though, so he might have just been forcing more bad shots his second year. I wonder if he can play defense.

33% from 3. 67-203
Iowa St hasn't had anyone in recent history shoot that low of % on that high of volume.

However, there are some pretty good comparables, with similar numbers. Jeff Carroll this season, Elijah Johnson from Ku, and Elijah Brown (Iowa st recruited last spring, before going to Oregon) when he was at mid major New Mexico.

Interesting that Prohm is looking to add a SF/PF in addition to THT and Griffin. Though an athletic lineup of Haliburton 6'5", Horton-Tucker 6'5", Moyer 6'8", Griffin 6'6" and Conditt 6'11" in 3 years is pretty enticing especially defensively.
I wonder if Matthew Moyer would be open to return to Syracuse since he already used his redshirt and Darius Bazely who was going to take a lot of his minutes now going to the G-League.

Moyer likes to dunk, solid outside shot too.

Utah st ranked 165 in defensive efficiency on Ken pom, Iowa st 142. So take that fwiw.
His DWS: "Defensive Win Shares; an estimate of the number of wins contributed by a player due to his defense." Was 1.1 last season. For reference, Lard was 1.0, Babb .9, Young .8
Still not sure what that means. I would think it's also driven by team defense. Jevon Carter was 2.7, and Bohannon .2

“Solid outside shot”. He was 1-9 from 3 this season, am I missing something?
