Is there anyone else that thinks Cook will get the usual feedback from NBA people and return and all this noncommittal stuff is just his way of getting attention?

Of course he could come back. But I doubt this is all him trying to get attention.

6-8 230 lbs

Missed all but 2 games due to injury this year but last season averaged
12.0 ppg 9.7 rpg 1.5 apg in 29mpg

Doubt ISU takes a look since he’s same class/position as Young and Jacobson but i bet this kid ends up at a high major.

I was not in Iowa when Haluska transferred... why was he allowed to go to an instate school? Just different norms?

This would be a great kid to get. He would sit a year. Get stronger, Learn the offense. Yeah I am all in for him.

100% agree. He was a top 100 kid on every recruiting site. His numbers freshman year dont blow you away but give him a year to grow and he could see good PT in 2019-20 when Shayok and NWB graduate.

I know I’m probably the minority in this opinion but if a scholarship opens for ISU this month i would take Mark Smith (or any solid transfer) over Tyler Harris

I would take him just to troll on principle alone.

How about Mark Smith and Tyler Cook both. That would set Eastern Iowa and Illinois on fire at the same time. I know we don't have two schollies open but man would that be fun.

Tyler Smith? Jess Settles would be impressed.

As is always the case now, there are a lot of good players available in the spring. If we have a departure or two, either Harris and Smith would be great. We potentially will be replacing all of our starting backcourt next spring.
