Now here’s an interesting Portal name for ISU to go after late.

He would be an absolutely excellent get. Like, as good as anyone else ISU has had on campus, if not better. 45% from 3 and good enough block and rebounding rates. He's a big time player.

Interested to see if ISU will pursue.

Honest question, how many players do they have at this point?
Currently full but Arkansas will make room for a guy like Council.

There are rumors that the two Mitchell twin transfers from Rhode Island will either go pro or both will walk-on and get an NIL deal to cover their scholarship costs so that would open up two spots theoretically.

I was shocked when Muss took them. So early in the cycle especially. I doubt they'll ever play there regardless.

The nearly $3mil Arkansas has invested in their upcoming class for NIL isn't that surprising... the fact that they keep convincing solid players to consider them when they seemingly keep promising playing time that simply can't spread to everybody is amazing. Either players are settling for the money instead of playing time or there are going to be a lot of disappointed players.

Muss has a pretty interesting process when taking in transfers even before the portal was a thing. He typically drops them if they ask any questions about playing time or how many shots they will get in the first interview. Plus, knowing how D1 players think I doubt many of them go anywhere not expecting to light it up regardless. Chris Lykes was preseason 1st team all-ACC at Miami and barely played at Arkansas but was as good of a teammate as any of them.

I think a lot of his philosophy comes from coaching in the NBA for so long when you have to deal with a whole new roster of guys each year getting paid, picking up free agents, cutting players who aren't getting it done, etc. He's said he contacts everyone who enters the portal basically just to be listed on every players' list so that other coaches don't know who he is truly prioritizing.
