Yeah, nice how the map takes a big narrow dip to cover most of Linn County for the extreme drought.
Given how many storms have literally fell apart upon reaching the county line, this is not surprising. Sure is frustrating though.

For over 20 years our golf course has been pumping out of the stream. I believe it was the DNR, but I don't know for sure, told them to stop pumping to the holding pond last week. The wells are only sufficient to water the greens. The river I used to play in as a kid is about 10 feet wide now. Normally 30 to 40 feet wide. no canoes for three years no kayaks for a year. Its dry.

-7 inches from normal on precipitation for the summer in Twin Cities. Now watering so stuff doesn't go into fall all stressed out and die on me over the winter.

I have the weatherbug app. Got an alert it would be raining in 15 minutes. Nothing.

We just stopped watering the yard. Contractors will be here in a couple weeks to build a deck and install a shed in the back yard. We'd rather the ground was a little harder to withstand the equipment better.

Ordinarily a fall deck project would be a rain magnet but probably not this year.

The forecast high for Minnesota Wednesday is 30 degrees cooler than the high forecast for Tuesday. That is so 2023. Also some rain forecast which is just the weather gods messing with the NWS and the rest of us here. It ain't gonna rain.

Our outdoor thermometer says 98. It’s on the east side of the house (backyard) in the shade mounted on light/colored siding.
My laundry on the clothesline is baking dry.

I can see a new horizon underneath the blazin' sky
I'll be where the eagle's flying higher and higher

If I were live acoustic guitar singer guy I'd play this and the Gen Xers in the place would just love it.

My weather apps are showing a slight chance of storms tomorrow. First time I've seen a chance of rain in the forecast in a couple weeks, and it's the only chance it shows for the next few days.

I haven't kept track myself, but I saw a tweet two or three days ago that said we were at 19 straight days (now 21 or 22) without rain?
