Looks like Omaha is getting ****** up.

Uprooted trees and tons of power outages. A trampoline from a few neighbors down almost hit my brother's house.

2.5 inches in SE Iowa. Sump ran every 30 seconds for a while. We finished July with 8.2 inches.

Re-issued now, but at 60mph, instead of 80 which was the original tag on that part of the storm.

Feel like we have a couple storms per year were the word 'derecho' gets thrown around. None of them come close to resembling the storm in 2020.

And I hope they keep underperforming we don't need that again.

So because the warning dropped for a bit, would it still qualify for derecho status assuming it holds together to meet the distance parameter? My assumption is since the warning dropped, the winds dropped below the 58 mph threshold for a bit.
