Taylor Roger's is a good add to cubs bullpen but again not the big needle mover. Very conservative trade season unless there's more to come

Every contending teams added key pieces except Cubs. I guess we should hold on to next Otani and Judge.

You cannot win the NL Central let alone a World Series with this rotation. And what the f*ck is the point of holding on to all these triple A guys?! Is there even gonna be room for all of them on the 40 man come the offseason?

Most will never see the field for the cubs.

I don’t hate guys we added. But man that was an underwhelming deadline for us.
Yes I like every guy we got. They're solid in their roles and don't think we broke bank in what gave up but I'd like this deadline so much more of if got that solid rotational piece. This just feels incomplete. We got all the nice side dishes but that's all we got. We need that hunk of meat. Spoiled whole deadline and leaves cubs with big weakness compared to teams we'll see late in year.

Could be right back to mid 80s wins if you let Tucker walk in offseason too. This front office leaves a lot to be desired with commitment to excellence. I'm not saying they're the Athletics but they're clearly not the Dodgers either

We expected a 12 lb. juicy delicious brisket and got 3 burnt wings instead.

Yep, writing's on the wall with Tucker, cheap ass Ricketts obviously told Jed he wasn't going to sign up for that kind of contract. We'll get Caissie out there next year, instead.

Feels like we are not at all convinced we will resign Tucker. Therefore, we have to hoard guys like Caissie and Alcantara.
Better to be safe than sorry then for next year. People were already upset at the Tucker trade last winter because of the possibility of a 1 year rental.

I've seen Cassie play numerous times at Iowa and I'm not seeing why he's so invaluable. He's not even close to the ceiling of a guy like Tucker.
