Another quad 2 win for North Carolina. Now 9-0 in Q2 games. Everyone will be drooling over North Carolina tomorrow.

I’ll wait until they play a top 50 opponent to make judgement on that team

We are in the NCAA tourney now. Time to set aside the obsession over Q2 vs Q1 etc. The name of the game is win and move on.
Agreed. I was just trying to put the game tonight in perspective.

It’s a 27 point win in the play in round against an NCAA tournament 11 seed. Thats much better perspective on the game than simplifying it to Q1 or Q2.

Plus, man it sure is boring hearing the endless droning about Quad this and Quad that, rather than discussing the actual game and opponent and how the teams played.

Much, much more annoyed about how ESPN is going to validate UNC’s tourney bid with that win than I am scared of potentially having to face them. After this game… still only 1 Q1 win for them on the year. Not impressed… Whale’s Vagina State is just bad.

The perspective is that they beat SDSU like 1 seeds beat 16 seeds. And SDSU is far better than 16 seeds

That was an unequivocally impressive performance
Impressive performance. Will that mean they make a run in the tournament? I have my doubts given their struggles this season against quality opponents

But rest assured, the talk tomorrow will be “Will UNC make the final 4”

You are right. If UNC can beat Miss., that would be something. Their body of work this season just doesn' show sustained success.

I hope it doesn't come at our expense.

Yep, the team responded well when all they heard for two days was, "UNC does not belong".

Let's see how they respond when their collective heads swell under the "UNC is dark horse Final Four" chatter. I expect not as well.

It was an impressive win (UNC). It makes our first weekend just that much harder.

Bring it on and see what we can do!

That was an impressive win for UNC, but they also had a crazy good shooting day that likely won’t be repeated. They shot 23% above their season average from deep. That was the biggest reason they won and why it looks so good. If they hit at their season average it is a 5-10 point win.

I'll continue to say this every year and I'm sure be in the minority, but these 8 teams made the tournament and these are tournament games. 4 of these 8 are automatic qualifiers who won their conferences. I would be perfectly fine if the other 4 didn't get in and it was a 64-team field, but the NCAA seems to think letting 4 more mediocre teams in is important.

From what Yormark said during the Big12 tournament, it sounds like they'll add another 8 mediocre teams that shouldn't get in in the future.

Meh - it’s eventually going to 96. Just a matter of when.

I agree it was an impressive win for UNC, but nothing I saw last night is getting me ready to write ISU’s obituary, unlike a number of people who seem to be penning initial drafts.

Will be interesting to watch. The conference tournaments show that in back to back days, the third game is typically a clunker. The difference with NCAA is there is a day of rest between a possible three game stretch. The guys will take on all challenges.

If they go to 96 they'll need to figure out a way to make conference tourneys more meaningful imo.

64 is perfect but I also know people will tune in to those early round games.

I’ve been kicking ass betting on UNC for the past month or so. They have been hot. It’s worked out well for me.

I expect they’ll beat Mississippi- then ISU will end their season on Sunday.
