R-E-L-A-X. We're not going to play a team of this size and caliber every game in the Big 12. Doubt we'll come back from this one but the team will regroup after this. I don't know what you guys expect to do to stop them. We can't guard Karnowski (and their many other bigs) 1 on 1, and their guards are hitting open 3s when we try to double team the posts. I know it's November but Gonzaga has the look of a team that will make a deep run in the postseason. Good test for us early in the year, but this game does not make us a terrible team
Our pass around offense is non-existent. Monte has no one to dish too as we are covered. Saw this in several games already. Missing Georges.
Everyone does realize that Gonzaga is a legit Top 10 team and will be all year and prob make push for the final four..I mean they just rotate 7fters and when those guys start hitting threes well its over..cant defend that.
The good news is we didnt play that well and id have to doubt Gonzaga shoots 9-12 from 3 in 2nd half...

I know, but a few of those plays he wasn't even making the attempt. I'll ease up, it's not his strength most days and certainly not against a guy that big.
Keep taking it to the posts and force the guards to keep trying to make those threes. Odds are with us on this one that they can't shoot that hot all game.
I'm just not sure what any of you expect us to do? We went into this season with no bigs, and then we lost Young as well. Gonzaga is loaded with bigs. There is nothing Burton can do at his height playing the 5, except foul out in about 2 mins if he tries to defend down there.
Supposedly our strength this year is our guards, but their guards are outplaying our guards as well. Trying to run them out of the gym was our only hope, and they are actually running us out of the gym. Prohm says going into the half that we actually need to slow it down. If we have to slow it down, then we're doomed. That means he wants us to lose by 30 instead of 50. Which at this point, maybe that is a good decision.

You made this determination based on 1 half against a top 10 team on a neutral site?
Yeah, I hope he decides to use our 6-10 and 6-11 guys more in the second half.
