you hit 9-12 from 3 when you're open. those looks are own looks. when we do have open looks we don't hit them.
The offense isn't the problem. Best way to prevent the best part of our game (transition) is make all your shots. We forced some stuff, but the problem is entirely on the other end.
UNI lost a 12 point game last year in the final seconds. Anything can happen still in the second half.
We need to put monte in the post on that zone honestly. Pass the ball to him in the middle at the free throw line and that will create ball movement itself
Now that it's halftime, I can turn the sound back up. I really like Kara Lawson. She is very knowledgeable about both mens and womens basketball.

They've got the inside-out game going. No way they hit threes like that the entire game. And no way we stay this cold the second half.
With few defensive boards, it's hard to run on them. Let's hope for great adjustments by Prohm and a nor'easter to hit their shooters. Regardless of the outcome, it's a great learning opportunity; if they learn from it.

Agree. Gonzaga is huge. I don't think any other team has this kind of size. And if their guards hit shots like this as well, then they are nearly unstoppable.

What I learned from the football meltdown is if you're losing, the coaches suck and don't know what they are doing.
Still surprises me that every day half the coaches suck and half deserve raises then the next game the half that sucked deserve raises and those that received raises should be the demise of the AD or former staff.

I saw Fizer and Tinley lose @ Drake and I knew it was gonna be bad ...but they finally got it together and won ... well...like 33 games......lol
Who in conference has this much size? Baylor is the only one who comes to mind but we never beat them anymore anyways.
Monte needs to man up. If he is all American material he needs to show it. I love the guy, but it's time to put the big boy shorts on and take the lead.

Gonzaga isn't doing anything different other teams have done against ISU in recent years.
They have made the open shots at a rate we haven't been able to keep up with. Most teams can't sustain that for more than a few minutes, they've punked us for an entire half.
They will come back down to earth I imagine, but ISU will really need to be efficient offensively just to make a game out of it.

I said in another post that the defensive mentality of this team isn't a switch they can just turn on. These guys are going to get punched on the mouth on the defensive end many more times this year as they learn that defense is a 100% proposition all day, every day.
