This may not be the best ISU team ever but it's the most talented from top to bottom that I can remember. We have guys that aren't playing that would have gotten lots of minutes on teams in previous years.

I think Haliburton is far ahead of where DG could have been even with a more competent coach. His ceiling is much higher as well, IMO.

He's not quite as long but Shaun Livingston is an NBA comparable in terms of body.

Haliburton's 3pt shot looks a little awkward but it's really going in and Livingston could never become a good deep shooter, just did lots of other things at great level and had crazy length. I should speak present tense because I think Livingston is still playing like his 20th season.

I always get killed for this but DG is overrated.

There is something about one good player on a really bad team that inflates their stats, but he stuck in the league for a while which is hard to argue.

I lived in Nebraska for a while as a kid and they'd always cover Skers basketball as if there was one really good guy on the team but really he was just OK and playing for the worst program in basketball history so he got his #s.

Look at Gatens at Iowa those years, he was a decent player but he looked like Michael Jordan compared to the rest of Lick's players.

I could see Prohm's defensive philosophy really take hold today.

Yes, and you're also seeing what having great backcourt length, combined with athleticism can do.

We make it very hard for teams to pass when we play our best D.

Babb 6'5"
Haliburton 6'6"
Shayok 6'6"
THT 6'4" (with arms long as hell)

Absolutely. Make no mistake, it was defense that led to that result. We were hot in the second half, but without that defensive effort, we’re probably still hoping to hit our free throws down the stretch to finish the game.

When I think of overrated Clone the first to come to mind is Sullivan but then I think if he could of sat at the top of the key with Dedric on the wing instead of Holloway, Floyd's teams could of been amazing. Then I remember candy ass Brackins avoiding the lane like the plague and forget about Jake and Jacy.

Plus Wigginton isn't as long as them but probably the quickest.

They called Hal "Spider-Man" but really it's the whole perimeter.

Sullivan is #4 in Big 12 history in 3pt %. Guy could be the best shooter we've ever had.
