You’ve got to respect the job Terry Bowen is doing. This Akron team forces the issue and makes you play.

Not a great half. Kind of flat and some mistakes, but they’ve righted the ship.

That final drive by the Clones helps a lot. We got the momentum and start with the ball next half.

We’re not playing horribly, we’ve just had a handful of mistakes, a few of which Akron has capitalized on. The game is clearly in our hands, if that’s what you’re worried about.

We’re not far off from any reasonable expectation for the first half of this game. Akron has done a good job of surviving off of what we’ve given them. That is a credit to how Bowen has them playing.

What a let down is for the team and fans to play Iowa, then start the conference with OU, then Akron. Idc about the cupcakes but I really wish that you play your non-con, then conference starts.

ugh this game is frustrating and the score is a bit misleading. If it weren't for 2 or 3 akron qb runs after botched plays this game would be 10-0 ISU

I like what we’ve seen of Noland and if he develops with experience he’ll be very good, but QBs that can scramble as well as throw are such equalizers.

Overall, a serviceable half of football. We let a few big plays slip through, but they are only 5-12 passing and averaging 3.0 yds/rush at half. We should be better in the 2nd half.
