Great game Clones!!!!!

We need to get one of the next two for at least the NIT IMO.

I have to say this season has been the most excited I have been for ISU basketball since Morgan's last year. The way this team plays and works is awesome. Keep it up guys!

We play pretty well when we arent in foul trouble. That was nice. Love to see Scotty and JVB confidently stroke those shots. Big step forward by CG.

Fantastic all-around game for the Cyclones. We were able to penetrate, hit the three, play pretty good defense, and out-hustle Baylor for most of the game.

GO STATE! Let's get a road win.

I thought we would start 1-2 in the Big 12, just thought the W would come agains nebby. Oh well, a good win for this team. I think it shows how important it is for us to have a healthy scotty (and an entire team for that matter). With everybody healthy I think we beat nebby and maybe even pull the upset on Ku. Either way if we stay healthy for the rest of the season we are going to scare a lot of people and beat a few of them.

Good to see how resilient this team is after a couple of really tough losses. This was a must have at home with the upcoming schedule.....and who knows, maybe we'll surprise a couple of these upcoming opponents. If our guys can shoot anywhere near that well consistently, we'll be able to stay in games against just about anyone.

Great game! This should give them a lot of confidence, not that they were lacking, but it still helps.

Whenever they shoot like that, they will be hard to beat, no matter who they are playing. 50 per cent over all, and 56 per cent behind the arc. That is hard to overcome.

What was good too was that they did not get out-rebounded that badly....and Baylor was one of the best teams in the country, in terms of rebound margin!

Great to hear the crowd get more into it too! Imagine if there had been another 3000 people in there.

What an awesome game! Scotty, welcome back! JVB, 7/8 from three? Come on, you can do better than that:wink: And Godfrey's dunk felt like it was just the release of all the frustration of the past few years. The crowd absolutely exploded, and you knew it was over right then.

Oh, and Baylor...if you're going to consistently win in the Big 12, you're going to need a coach that can actually coach, and not just buy the top talent in the country.

So funny. I looked on my phone and saw the score 39-32 and thought... man this team is good... they're still in the game with Baylor! Then I looked again and saw that ISU was up! Incredible. I love the heart of this team. This team can go to the tourney and is a few bad bounces away from being a top 25 team right now. GO CYCLONES! THE MAYOR IS STILL THE MAYOR!

What a fantastic effort. The guys have played so much harder this year and tonight they took it to a higher level yet. You could see their total determination after the first few minutes till the end. Great win!

in my mind there is one rule in sports that rarely fails: The team that makes their opponent adjust to the way they want to play the game usually wins. As soon as Baylor abandoned the zone, I knew we had a great chance to win.

And the other thing: If we shot the 3 ball this well against Kansas, we'd have beaten them by 15 too.

Godfrey brought his big boy pants tonight, he played a great game. We really need that consistently from him.

I like the slow down offense a LOT better when we are up 15 than when we are up 4.

I still think this team can go 8-8 in conference. Win the rest of the home games and pick up one game on the road, and we are there. It may not be likely, but it is certainly doable. That's why I think the game Wednesday is HUGE, it may be the most winnable road game left on the schedule.

Finally, the reason this team is much MUCH better than anyone thought is defense. They are turning into a great defensive team, as long as they limit the damage from offensive rebounds. Holding Baylor to 57 is a huge feat. Their previous low for the season was 63 in an early season win against Jackson St.

well, I wish we had our old coach back, what's his name???? He would of never let the Cyclones embarrass a good team like that...:realmad:

It is amazing how the Clones were the guys hustling and fighting to the end of the game, and Baylor just plan gave up and let the game slip away. Love the fight in this team, and hope they can just keep it up. How many guys played tonight, 7?

Wow, Great game tonight! I still can't believe we beat a preseason top 10 team.. I'm not sure if anyone could've beaten us tonight. And it could've been more had Godfrey made a couple of those bunnies, but he played great anyways. I'd almost be inclined to have him start over Ejim. I think this game was difference from starting 0-5, to going 2-3 or 3-3 in the conference.

I loved the defenses we threw at them too. Going from zone, to man, and at one point I even saw a box-in-one on Dunn.

You know what else is different about this team from the past few years? They actually tend to play better in the 2nd half of ballgames! How about that? Even without any depth. Amazing.

This win felt great. It seems like we only have beaten Nebraska and Colorado for the past 4 or 5 years in conference play. It finally feels like we are protecting out home floor again.
