Kansas has very very very limited minutes to go around next year if you look at their roster.

Mason - Malik Newman (transfer)
Graham - stays
Svi - should stay
Jackson - Billy Preston ('17 recruit)
Lucas - Azubuike

Bench then is Bragg, Marcus Garrett ('17 guard recruit), the women beater Vick, and Mitch Lightfoot
At this point, any new recruit or transfer would have to be an ELITE talent to even 10+ mpg.

If Preston starts for them I'll be happy, he seems like a project more than ready to plug in and play

True, however they could play 4 guards with Graham, Newman, Vick, and Svi since the have that 7' center. Either way they are a top 5 team next year.

Rinse and repeat. Maybe Baylor could dethrone them finally next year if Motley stays. But will he?

That and the fact Svi is 6'7". That's a bigger lineup than a lot of teams.

That said I'm not going to diminish Juiston's talents just so I feel better about our chances. He's better than what KU has and would start, I think. At ISU he would be a star, though, and be expected/needed to fill the Burton role.

Come to ISU, Mr. Juiston, and be the next in a long line of point-forwards!

I'd be very surprised if Motley stays, and I think it's 50/50 if Grahm sticks around.

With the NBA's preference for youth and potential, I think there's only risk to the downside for staying. Graham, I don't know. He can step out of the shadow of other players for the first time and be the guy (or one of the key guys).

I definitely think Graham should stay, but earlier this season, there were many rumors about Graham saying he was planning on leaving. Since then he hasn't had the greatest year, but he is starting to come around, and if he has a good tournament, it could be enough for him to go. I think he'll definitely test the waters.

I think Graham goes for sure but Svi stays. They still have the potential of getting Duval but assuming he goes to Duke

Newman
Vick
Svi
Bragg
Azubuike

With Garrett, Cunliffe, Lightfoot and Preston on the bench. Definitely think Juiston is a backup play if one of Preston doesn't qualify

Forgot about Cunliffe. He's not eligible until second semester I believe.

They also have Coleby coming back as a senior, but doubtful he plays a big role. Juiston is the back up for Preston, and in case Lightfoot doesn't progress like they hope. If they have the scholarship room, they would take Juiston, and if they don't need him, they'll just sit him.

If Graham goes, there's a lot of pressure on Newman to be awfully good. KU lost out on a couple of PG recruits and I don't see where they're in on any other really good ones.

Marcus Garrett is rated higher than Wigginton by some services, but go on.

There are rumblings on the KU board that the Shakur offer is due to the possible transfer or Bragg and question if Garrett will qualify. As with any roster the best plans can get changed by outside forces. lose those 2 and the path to minutes is there.

That is just speculation, right now Shakur would have to anticipate both those players coming in with Lightfoot getting early minutes due to his time in the program. Azubike is a center so I don't see him talking minutes from him (factors in for Lake though).
The ISU situation is pretty clear, if he commits to Prohm he should get minutes.

Whoops yes Preston at PF.
I'll also agree it is hard to expect Preston, if eligible, will be ready for major minutes immediately from watching him @ Oak Hill and Self's history of easing bigs into minutes.

That said, Shakur shouldn't count on early minutes as with 2 top 20 recruits looking to fill the PF role.
