My point was that our bench is every bit as good, if not better than the schools I mentioned..you disagree?

I'm trying to keep it more civilized now for you guys...
By bench you mean two guys? Basketball is 5 on 5 btw, and the Cooke we have seen is not as good as many of the starters for those teams.

Frankly, we essentially have no bench. And that is besides the point. The 20 point win was fine. It makes no ******* sense to go balls to the wall for 40 minutes every game.

With that logic, I'm surprised that you haven't brought up common opponents yet. Like Iowa. Iowa beat Coppin by 35 points. ISU beat Coppin by 20 points. Can draw some pretty conclusive inferences from that, I guess.

Coppin St. was probably playing without Valentine for their game.

I'll take Burton, Cooke, Ashton, Simeon, and Stu over Fordham and Eastern Kentucky's second 5 every day of the week, then twice on Sunday's.

So if the collective failure of Burton, Cooke, Ashton, Simeon and Stu as a unit is what you are unhappy about today, then there's not much to be concerned about this season barring injuries.

Talented yes. Perhaps more talented than most, but not as good just yet as they haven't played in a year and coming off injury/rehab. That's the main point of getting the extra minutes to develop. Add in 2 more players that never see rotation minutes and you are asking a lot from an inexperienced bench. They are good as subs, but that's far different than playing primary roles together at the same time.

I'm glad the bench got an opportunity to play quite a bit of minutes. As far a the Big 12 goes, I still expect about 12-6.

The impossible standards that some of you turds hold this team to, even when playing reserves/walk ons for 10 min, is wearing me out. I lurk and don't post often but may just have to give up viewing CF for the conference season if we're going to have this amount of false outrage after every game. News flash, this team is going to lose 4-8 more games but they're still REALLY FREAKING GOOD and have a chance to do great things. Be patient and enjoy the ride.

We need to enjoy the season. Don't expect perfection, just enjoy the team. Lots and lots of players that are easy to cheer for and support.
Some of you have the bar of perfection so high, you will never enjoy any of the season. Cyclone Basketball is FUN!

Neat. So you are ******** yourself over a few minutes of scrub time? Are you really that big of a dumb ***?
Hopefully you can get over the letdown of our walkons not beating the bench of those types of team by enough tonight.

If demoncore is serious, that's wild.
I found it tough to stay in character and complain about this one.

I was serious. I'm not looking forward to conference play if Nader and Cooke are gonna go 1-15 from 3 every game and we are gonna let every team we play shoot lights our from 3. And we keep getting pounded on the glass even by a crap team like Coppin State. There's a lot to clean up but 12 games in these things should have already been cleaned up. If we don't start rebounding, hitting 3s and playing better D then KU and Oklahoma will both sweep us and we will probably lose 3 or 4 more conference games.

My point (initially) was about our effort as a whole the last 25 minutes, and the team lacking a killer instinct...if it was an isolated incident, and just for this game, I wouldn't be so darn stubborn about it. My apologies to all for the redundancy of my posts!

Pretty sure we were having this very same meltdown this very same time last year. Pretty sure we ended up doing just fine last year until 3 capital letters bit us in the *** in the NCAA Tournament.

What? We got outscored the last 25 minutes of that game by Kenpom's 342nd ranked team and gave up 54 in the second half to a team without a win over a D1 school. It was more than 'a few minutes' of scrub time. I'd quit responding if you quit twisting my words.

Our bench played nearly 1/3 of the total minutes tonight. Niang only played 25 minutes. Morris was able to sit for 10 minutes tonight. The team was able to rest and still get ac20 point win. The focus on D was not the three, it will be a greater focus on Saturday.

Big deal. Carter and Ashton played half of the second half. Those two would not ever see the floor for most good teams....except for scrub time. I am glad our starters kicked ***, and then "maintained-out" of this meaningless game.

Your words are twisted, but all your own doing. That is how idiotic you are being. You make less sense than jsb and bode's love-child.
