This. Exactly. And nothing gets better, ever. Not the way technology works today. Just not a good representative for ISU.
What a letdown this game has become. Starters weren't supposed to play more than 1 quarter. Campbell needs to find new OC, Line coach, and special teams coach

The whole point of scheduling this game is getting an easy, guaranteed win in which all the ISU reserves get plenty of PT for the benefit of their own development.
Unfortunately, the conditions pretty much preclude all of that except the opportunity for a win.

20-14 at halftime. So now the starters have to play at least another quarter (or maybe more0 in hopes of stretching the game out of reach. And a one-score halftime lead isn't safe against anybody.
I wanted to see one thing today, our O-line shove it down someone's throat.
I guess that will have to wait, again.
the field is so terrible right now that the less athletic team probably has an advantage, but that is not an excuse -- the team should be able to dial it back and be less aggressive to compensate. and there is no excuse not to keep putting the ball in the air when that is working better than running. the trick is to keep the passes medium-range so our line doesn't have to hold too long.
Just like Jay Jordan pointed out in his offensive assessment (UT game) - Purdy failed to hit a sure 1st down to Montgomery on 3rd down - David was standing there, wide open, for 2-3 seconds and Purdy refuses to make that pass. He's a very good QB, but he still too often tries for the homerun, rather than make the "sure" pass (or throw it away). This has been a butt-ugly game - was expecting to see our backups after halftime - but that ain't happenin'.
This is THE issue today. Watching this O line struggle against Drake is ******* ridiculous. No excuses for this.
Slight sprains for Meeker and Spears from what I was told. Will be fine in a couple weeks.
Know it's not his style but hope CMC rips their ass at halftime. Some of the most uninspired play I've seen in quite sometime. Iowa State looks like they don't want to be on the field today.
