Just watched some video on RJ Hunter. RJ looks like "consistant" Clyburn on his best games. Lights out shooter with long range, but thin (6'6"180 lbs), shies away from pentration to the rim and contact and a minus defender. Basically he likes to shoot three's from anywhere and not jump fake and head to the cup.

Personal thought is this is a big BD-J game, the exact reason he was brought into Ames. He and RJ are the same height but Bryce is bigger, more athletic and willing to create contact. I'd expect Bryce to man up on him D, possibly box and one as to not let Hunter get separation for the 3. On offense try to attack him at the rim/create fouls, that is BDJ's game anyways. Great early season test for BDJ and should give us a glympse of what to expect against upcoming SG in Big 12 play (Heild, Seldon, Foster) Guessing SDW will get the defensive responsibility when BDJ is out.

Good analysis. I have not watched RJ Hunter so I am not certain what to expect from him. I like that this should be a favorable match-up for us having BDJ on Hunter and am hoping the guards can contain and limit their guards from going off on us. I am glad they do not have an amazing post player as that is our greatest weakness at this moment.

Have we bashed ESPNU yet? If not I want in on that.

Looks like some shady streaming of the game for me tonight!

my cable company (ImOn) moved ESPNU from the regular package to a sports package in the last month.

i'm not happy. I don't want to switch to Mediacom, but they aren't really leaving me much choice.

If we attack like we did last game expect more foul trouble. Also, don't be surprised to see Hogue get some work on D against Hunter.

As long as Hunter isn't guarding Naz, I want the person he is guarding to attack him early. Let's see if we can get him in foul trouble.

Would love to come up from KC for this game, restricted to only a handful of Saturday MBB games this year. The crowd at HILTON better be ready to bring the noise tonight. Need to get on these guys with 3 of our top 8 out. GO CYCLONES!

I definitely think we'll see some Hogue on Hunter. Their front court is a weakness, so playing Niang and Edozie at the same time, with Hogue at the 3, could create some big mismatches.

I also agree that this is a big BDJ game, he gets to matchup with a potential draft choice and make his name in front of a ton of scouts.

I think Naz gets some time on Hunter as well.

I think attacking the rim is a key again, as they aren't a deep team and foul trouble would be very beneficial to us.

My prediction:
- Meltdown city if we lose (even though we don't have three guys tonight and we're far from gelling together as a team this early)
- National title talk if we win because Georgia State is amazing.

Wow folks. Georges is Georges. Giorgios is Giorgios, Greek, mt. Olympus, tsal, or whatever other nicknames he has. Big Georges is the cut out of Georges with moveable arms that's seen in the student section is years past. Last year the owner of big Georges passed away and I believe fortunately another student gave him a new home. Just wondering if anyone knows his status. TIA

With Georges, Giorgios, and Big Georges, we definitely "out-George" Georg-ia State!

I have a feeling you could copy and paste that into every gameday thread this year.
