my cable company (ImOn) moved ESPNU from the regular package to a sports package in the last month.

i'm not happy. I don't want to switch to Mediacom, but they aren't really leaving me much choice.

Give them a call, the sports package containing ESPNU is only $5 a month, they can add it to your account before tonights game.

Just watched some video on RJ Hunter. RJ looks like "consistant" Clyburn on his best games. Lights out shooter with long range, but thin (6'6"180 lbs), shies away from pentration to the rim and contact and a minus defender. Basically he likes to shoot three's from anywhere and not jump fake and head to the cup.

Personal thought is this is a big BD-J game, the exact reason he was brought into Ames. He and RJ are the same height but Bryce is bigger, more athletic and willing to create contact. I'd expect Bryce to man up on him D, possibly box and one as to not let Hunter get separation for the 3. On offense try to attack him at the rim/create fouls, that is BDJ's game anyways. Great early season test for BDJ and should give us a glympse of what to expect against upcoming SG in Big 12 play (Heild, Seldon, Foster) Guessing SDW will get the defensive responsibility when BDJ is out.

Did we play any box and 1 last season? Did we play any zone, for that matter? Can't imagine we'd do that here. Hunter is really good but he's not scoring 45.

As long as Hunter isn't guarding Naz, I want the person he is guarding to attack him early. Let's see if we can get him in foul trouble.

Sounds like they like to play some sort of zone, matchup or otherwise. Completely not worried about their defense. Hoiberg will pick it apart.

I'm visiting my folks in Iowa today and they don't have ESPNU on Mediacom. Will the game be on A Mediacom channel? Thanks.

I hope Monte continues to get more aggressive. I hope he's not thinking about his record assist/turnover numbers because if that happens, he's not going to come close to his potential. Now that he's the guy, he's going to turn the ball over, that's just a plain fact.

He had some sick crossovers in the last game but missed the shot afterwords. I think he was surprised to be so open.

This bothers me. Last season when we faced the zone against Baylor we got off to slow starts twice. We lost once and the other game we were awful but came back to win. I doubt Georgia State plays the zone as well as Baylor so we could still destroy it for all I know. The 3s better be falling for us tonight so we can force them out of it.

Although I'm pretty optimistic in the students after the turnout at the last game, I'm worried about "not first game/weeknight/don't recognize Georgia State is a good team" coming into play and cutting down on the turnout. I think the crowd who comes tonight will bring it either way though.

Baylor was one of the best zone defenses in college basketball last year. They gave everyone fits. TCU also ran zone against us, ask Melvin Ejim how that went. 3s are not the only way to beat a zone, I want to see good ball movement while attacking the zone and being unselfish.
