If he wants to be THE legend, North Carolina will not be his choice. No way he would be bigger than Jordan. He may not be bigger than Grayer at ISU, but I'd love to find out.

Not the point. People keep saying he's just going to be "another player" if he chooses to go to Duke or UNC, which is incredibly false because Duke and UNC wouldn't be fighting over him if either school thought he was going to be "just another player".

If he comes to ISU, Hilton Magic will be running wild and that place would never have an empty seat.

That is hard to say. He may be the #1 recruit in the nation but UNC will probably have 4 of the top 20. That being said there won't be much of a talent difference when the guys are all that close to the top.

There are also time at UNC or Duke, that the "#1 player" gets lost in the shuffle. HB will be the face of the team next year. Period. At UNC, he will be a great peice to the puzzle, but they can win a championship without him. Just my opinion though.

I'm watching ESPN News and they just had a 30 second blip on Barnes. They listed everyone in the final 6 EXCEPT iowa state. They even mentioned Kansas in the discussion. I know what Bill Self says may just be smoke, but still it's hilarious.

I hope he picks ISU even more now because it'll teach ESPN analysts they don't know jack ****.

I've almost gone comatose at work at this point.

I can't even get myself to do something as simple as calling applicants to set up interviews for Monday. Today is definitely going to end up a wasted day at work.

Check their resumes for their CF username. Maybe you could get some work done without ever leaving the site?

I think you summed it up the best. It isn't like UNC is going to get much better if they sign him or fall off the face of the basketball map without him. At ISU he could take an entire program to the next level by signing on the line. That is an incredible idea to wrap an 18 year olds head around.

Does ESPN know something that we don't, or are we just wishful that he'll go to ISU?

Doubtful. They just don't think he'd ever go to ISU. If you read their articles from awhile ago, they would always point out how "he hasn't even visited Iowa State yet." It's like they forgot he's from Ames and his mom works for the university.

A source like ESPN usually writes so people will read it. If they were to say "he's going to Iowa State," they would **** off a lot of North Carolina and Duke fans big time.

"WHAT!? The nation's top recruit is going to pick Iowa State over Duke or UNC!? I don't trust ESPN anymore."

Thus they are in a position to lose business. Weird, but possibly true. I don't think anybody but HB and his mom know where he's going right now. He also seems to love to play psychological games with people on this. My kind of guy, very intelligent. He knows people are analyzing his clothing.

I am starting to think he would not have a big press conference without choosing ISU

He's the nation's #1 recruit. Don't most of them have a press conference of some sort? It's not like this is on ABC or CBS. It's on ESPN U (and apparently it will also be on ESPNNews)
