Did anyone else watch our game against Toledo last year? We looked like the better coached team. Just think about that for a while.

I thought that same thing last year. I don't think there is any question about this staff's ability to recruit. Some questionable in game decisions though to say the least.

Remember last year when Iowa shredded through a cake schedule to 12-0 and we could point out how this game was close late in the 4th quarter?

Those were the good old days???

The losses might not be on coaching. But the effort and other things are on coaching.

These terrible, terrible football players managed to have a one thousand yard rusher and so far were much better against the same teams last year. AND we had the most terrible football coach in the history of the world. Even if we lost a lot of 'good' players last year, we got rid of the most awful coach to walk the sidelines.

So, yes, a person does expect to see some improvement.

Who are you NOT seeing effort from? Do you think it's effort when an established power running program that has consistently taught and coached and recruiting to their schemes for decades runs over our lack of depth DL where we're missing more than a few front line players from last year?

Toledo he had a 70% winning percentage with his schemes and his players. He has crap for bigs for many reasons and none of his making. This is HIS mess now and I'm willing to give him more time than it takes to make a stupid post about his abilities that you're offering up.

I'm willing to give him a lot of time. I don't think he can possibly be as inept as he has appeared in 2 weeks.

But....if we are going to ***** about Lanning and ***** about the O-line and ***** about Rhoads then I certainly think it is fair to ***** about the coaching staff.

We could have Chip Kelly and Art Briles as co-OCs and it wouldn't matter. Our lines are awful and I think that's putting it pretty nicely.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if that "gaffe" at the end was designed that way. A field goal does exactly zero good so you might as well go for the end zone and make sure Iowa doesn't get the ball back.

I don't think so (or at least shouldn't be). What if we got the 1st down but got tackled in bounds? You need time on the clock to bring on the FG unit or run 1 more play.
