I want our guys to get a win so bad. They deserve it.

With that said, I can't pick them to win until I see something different and more creative out of this offense.

OSU- 27
ISU- 13

Our defense, with another great effort, will hold OSU to 27 pts (their season average is 44), but the offense will still unfortunately look pretty vanilla and easy and predictable for OSU to defend. They will bring a lot of blitzes, as most teams do, and we won't be able to make them pay for it, as usual.

Would love nothing more than to beat The Mullet though. Hate that guy.

Luckily for the Pokes, the Cyclones bring one of the worst offenses OSU has seen to date. Iowa State doesn’t rank inside the top 85 in passing, rushing, total or scoring offense. In fact, they don’t rank better than 122nd in any of the latter three of those categories.

It sounds like Knowles and company should have a relatively easy day against the Cyclones, especially if they are missing their best offensive weapon, in 2017 first team, all Big 12 running back, David Montgomery who is nursing an arm injury.

At the end of the day, I think the Cyclone offense will not be able to put up enough points to hang with the Cowboys, which should lead to a comfortable win (finding every piece of wooden furniture to knock on, right now).

Remember, they looked good against OU. No reason to think this D is anywhere close to the level of TOE or TCU. ISU gets it done today and everyone remembers that Zeb is completely capable of leading this team.

Remember, ISU has been leading against OSU the last TWO years into the fourth. Two years ago was before they knew how to win. Last year was a controversial loss, and that was w Rudoplh, Ateman, Mccleskey and Washington. I am not so sure how cornelius plays well against the best D he has faced in his life.
ISU wins 31-23

Their DB's are young and short.
Mr Butler, your table is ready... if only coach will let you eat.
I see their starting CB are 6'1 and 6'0. Certainly not short as far as DB's go. THat said, we know Butler will get his today.

When someone has to follow up their incredibly hot take with "knock on wood", you know they're speaking straight from their ass.

How quickly people forget ISU has already played OU. A better version of OSU and held their own just fine.

He obviously has yet to watch one Iowa State game this year if he is criticizing the defense.

Don't know what he said but if he mentioned that ISU doesn't stop the ball well in crucial situations, he'd be correct. That's part of being a good defense.

For anyone wondering what that means, go see how TCU got so close for their field goal last week, or how Iowa got 13, or what OU did when ISU got close in the 2nd half. It's a trend.
