My son lives in Savannah and, naturally, is a huge Georgia fan. And a college fb fan fantic in general (wish he had other interests, frankly).

In order to make our texts/phone calls back/forth more interesting, I watch Georgia a lot, and 'make him' watch Iowa State when he can.
You would not enjoy the comments he makes about ISU's/Campbell's coaching, considering he has no particular bias in this regard otherwise. And yes, (more than us, likely) he understands the metric of 5-star vs. 2-3 star talent, yada-yada.
But he does not seem to find our losses "incomprehensible" by any stretch.
Thank you.

People get mad at me for mentioning what is now obvious.

You are a broken record. Campbell is not going to be told what to do. Campbell will not be fired. Campbell is certainly not satisfied with the team performance. Trust Campbell. Your rants only serve the purpose to rabble rouse. Hawk fan wants Campbell run off. You are an idiot.

The same Matt Campbell who is 1-6 against Iowa? Yes, I'm sure Hawk fans are seething at the fact that he's our coach.

CampbellBall baby!

Margins, process, culture!

3-10 in conference since OSU last year.

I trust Campbell to fix things. He will fix things. While you just attempt to divide and rabble rouse. Hawk fan who wants us to get rid of Campbell.

Why would Hawk fans want CMC gone?

KF routinely outcoaches him, and still has a huge recruiting advantage over him.

They’d only be happier if Jim Criner was back. Where the game was over by the 2nd quarter.
I really enjoy how any valid and obvious criticism of CMC is somehow, what, Hawk inspired? A Hawkeye conspiracy?

And couldn't possibly be genuine, giving the glaring problems that have been evident since he arrived in Ames.

lol now Campbell is responsible for our players running into each other, if only he coached them to not run into each other, what a rookie move!

Iowa fans fear Campbell? lol, yeah right.
They feared Earle Bruce, a coach we let go because we just didn't care.
They feared John Cooper, a coach that was a dirty 30 alumni that we didn't respect enough to make a serious offer too.
They were annoyed by Danny Mac and Donnie Duncan.
They laughed at Jim Criner, Jim Walden and the 15-year losing streak.
They probably appreciate the fact that Campbell made their wins mean something in 17-18 and regret not being able to play in 2020.

Things happen and who knows what happened there but fundamentally there should be some sort of 'poison' call or similar that's instilled on a situation like that.

There's been quite a few close calls in similar scenarios where the communication doesn't look good.

I now it's coach speak but it's OK to actually make 'details' and 'margins' a hallmark.

He was fielding the punt, you wouldn't call people off if you're going to catch the punt, that would be if you were going to or had to let it drop short.

Other members of the punt team aren't generally involved in calling someone off?

Really! We can't get good recruits because we are in Iowa? That other college in Iowa seems to do much better in recruiting than us. This is just another excuse for why we don't win. Come to terms with our ceiling? This is a perfect example of accepting mediocrity!
Again, our admin needs to direct, funnel, suggest, whatever the correct wording is- they need to get our biggest donors to pay into NIL and we need to have the best team our budget can buy. There are no other options. The recruits will be happy to come to Ames for the right price.

Hawk fans would be more than happy to see us foolishly fire Campbell. They won like 18 in a row until Mac broke the string. Campbell is a threat recruiting to Iowa. Campbell will turn things around. Campbell in his worst year is much better than what we had previously.
