I love that I watch 4 damn games all year and I'm a better fan than those bandwagon poopheads in the game threads. Giving up on the team with 10 minutes to go. lame.

I'm tired of hearing why we lose by watching media afterwards discuss it may have been, it may not have been. Just tiring. When they showed it over after Will was in the air, Craft was clearing still moving. No question! Fact = Blocking Foul. There is no debate.

Ug. Of course OSU would be complaining if the call went the other way....THAT IS THE WHOLE FREAKING POINT WHY WE LOSE CLOSE GAMES!!!! THE REFEREES HAVE A --YES, UNINTENTIONAL--BIAS TO NOT BLOW THE CALL IN A WAY TO ENDANGER THEIR CAREER. You blow a call against ISU now....no biggy, they are classy and will let it slide. You blow a call against OSU, Kansas, Michigan, basketball Kentucky, etc....and it is a career ender. That non-blocking call was MUCH more important than you minimalist understand. I am not a Charles Barkley fan, but he gets it. That was the game. That was the money moment when we all knew that it was over. Referees were not going to blow a close game in our favor. Duh..... If you want things to change, get mad. If you think just clapping and nodding is OK, then keep posting that referees don't impact a game in a negative way against us.
This, we go up 4 there and that's a very good possibility we win... not 100%, but definitely high chance...

Does somebody have it recorded? I didn't really watch the ref who made the call but I do remember Nantz saying that the ref started the signal like they were going to count the basket.. Possibility he sort of changed his mind after he blew the whistle? Like I said, I didn't record so I didn't see it

Great game. Fred will not give up and I think we will see a NCAA title hanging in Hilton within 10 years. Awesome future to MBB !!!! Amazing turn around, now we need to build on the core so we don't have so much turnover every year and thus lose early games and get lower seeds than our "true ranking".

Everyone take a breath and realize where we are as a program. 2 NCAA wins in 2 years. Remember where we were a mere 3 years ago?

This poster is the reason that we will always lose the close games against the big dog opponents. "Aw, shucks, we played good but lost. referees made some calls against OSU too! It was fair! remember that bad call against Ohio State in the first half!"
Thank you for mediocrity. Thank you for a fan base accepting of a referee bias. You are freaking blind if you cannot see it. It is not a "national conspiracy" as aloof ******** cyclone fans want to mock....but it is an unintended consequence that when a referee refuses to make a bad call against Ohio State/Kansas/Michigan State, then it becomes a bad call against little ole' ISU with the fans who are classy and don't intervene with league commisioners or college regents or other powerful figures that could--and do--impact the career of a referee.
enjoy your crappy tournament now, you classy Cyclone fans....I am going to watch Splash or DWTS. Honey Boo Boo may be better than reading the pollyannas who are going to post that refereeing calls do not screw us.

Well....Ohio State fan complex is similar to the Kansas cheating strategy.....that last series shows how this game will play out. The referees are NOT going to let a no-call or a call go AGAINST Ohio State in crunch time. They are going to get the call. We have to be 10 points better than them.....crazy thing is we ARE! We played terrible and it is a close game. Referees must be conditioned to know where the career threats and pressure will come from if they blow calls, so if game stays close, look for a lot of ISU fouls in the last two minutes to give OSU the win. The corolory to that is that we will get a few calls early in the second half as the referees set this up....ultimately they can point to stats and say game was called fairly as total number of fouls are similar. With Babb, I could see us getting the big lead we will need to win. Without....?????.
Ohio State is all that is wrong with college sports.....Hawkeye fans on steroids.

bumping myself.
so predictable.

Yes, if only fans would care more about these things, we'd be in the Final 4.

Stupid. I'm sure they blew whistles on osu when they were up 13 and we rallied so they could later get that charge call wrong.

If we keep bumping this thread and keep it towards the top the refs will be able to see it tonight when they come to check CF. After reading all the mean comments they'll feel bad and give ISU all the calls next year. Dirtyninety is on to something here. The more we whine on the internet the better our chances of winning basketball games is.
