Ending the half with no 2-minute drill. Kicking that field goal on 4th and goal. That is old school stuff. Not a bad thing at all. I just think Matt Campbell is more of a Bill Snyder than a river boat gambler type of coach.

He did go for 4th and 3 at mid field. Can't go for them all or you are going to look pretty stupid

If we're going to stick with the pass game, Park will have to be better. The problem is it takes the ball out of our best players hands and Montgomery is our best player. At least we aren't down 3 scores and we still have a chance.

A bit of an extra generous spot gave Hoks first down on play b4 TD....may be knit -picking a bit, but refs seem to be motivated to inch things whenever and wherever to IU if they can get by with it...

I agree it was a bad spot, things are being inched Iowa's way but I don't think it makes much of a difference

Why not go for something there? Even if you go three and out and punt, Iowa doesn't have a quick strike offense

Did you moss that WE or TE wide open for them? Their QB doesn't look great, but keeping in mind it's his 2nd start, in his first rivalry game, 1st road game, if hate for us to puss the bed down 11 at half. Heck, even 3 there could turn the game.

That worked for Bill Snyder playing Prairie View AM while he built up that program. This is a whole different situation. That was lame DAn McCArney coaching crap there.....Are you telling me these coaches can't coach a scenario with 50 seconds left they can't run a couple plays to see if they can get 40 yards or so PRIOR to running out the clock. Jeesh....lame.

That drive by eiu was a killer. Could be the drive that decides the game. ISU can't get play together. Curious why Lanning didn't go in 3rd n goal from the one.

One thing I don't like about ESPN halftime show, they don't even talk about the game being played. I'm sure OU and O$U are having their own hour pregame show. Nobody is going to be tuning in at half time of Cy-Hawk game to find out more about another game. It just seems lazy on ESPN.

Even it if does get ugly, I chose to view life through the lens of reality and even optimism. A subpar quarter, and being down four at the half does not make a game. It's beyond me how you have already forecasted this game "getting ugly."

2nd quarter didn't suggest a promising result. We'll see how well ISU makes halftime adjustments.

This will be the key. IOWA had to adjust after isu's td and their 1st offensive possession. Now let's see if we can do better.the ubtlumate Chess match. It'll depend who has the players that can finish drives.

Really liked their adjustments last week so hopefully it happens and pays off here.

4 point game isn't a big deal...yardage is concerning although I missed the 1st half.
