Most of you had this game down as a loss and now are all worked up about it. Please.

So by this reason I can now say I think we will suck for the next 3+ years and accept that? Or should I expect something to be done to try to improve or level of suck??

These posts are disturbing. Especially the last 12 seconds being the most poorly coached 12 seconds. I doubt the staff said throw the ball at the feet of the player. I'll be honest I wnat Mac back to give him one more shot at this. Obviously this year is shot. If Bill Gillespe is hired as coach we will know that Pollard sold his soul to the devil.

Re: Postgame Breakdown

Good im real tired of the same old ****! He doesnt even call plays in the most crucial parts of the game.

yeah, no ****. McD runs a set play offense and doesn't even call set plays at the most critical time! what is the point of a set play offense then. for cripes sake. i mentioned earlier about apathy. well, leaving the bar with with mizzou friends after the loss, I was just flat out embarrassed. seriously. of course they played the 'your team really made this a game, I am surprised' bs, but that only makes it worse. they EXPECTED this to be a cake walk in HILTON - and THAT friends is unacceptable!

It's simply over for GM at ISU. A good guy who is in over his head at this level. If a move is not made, ISU will be lucky to average 7,000 in actual attendance next year. No sense in delaying the inevitable. Take our lumps - get the right guy and start rebuilding this program.

UNI will be drawing more people next year.

Any other high level, state employee would be fired for this kind of ineptitude. It wouldn't matter if that person's staff dropped the ball, the person making the big bucks would take the fall. I have no idea why any think it should be different from one of the top 10 paid state employees.

Yeah I've been saying this for over a month.....if he was an exec (or actually any type of worker in my division) at my company, he'd been fired literally 2.5 years ago.

I think it's the way we lost. We had a chance. Heck a 4 point lead in overtime. I think it just shows what could of been.

I think Mac should be fired, but I do feel bad for him, he is such a great person, this just sucks on all accounts.

I don't feel bad for anyone that makes as much money as he did driving this program into the ground.
If he volunteered his time, maybe.

Word, he can't dribble in the open court. I haven't been able to watch many games, but he carries the ball all the time, and gets away with it. He's great from 15 feet in, but handling a press, like tonight, he looked very bad.

I am still trying to figure out how we had the ball with like 12 seconds left in a tie ball game, and end up in losing! Hey Greg, did it ever occur to you in the time out to tell the players to play for the last shot, unless it is a layup?

Think about it.... we have the ball..... tie game......12 seconds left. Our player sprints down the floor, and passes the ball with 7 seconds left, right to our player's feet. The get the ball, dribble down the court, and make a layup, because we don't put people on the ball to slow it down.

I honestly believe that last 12 seconds was the most poorly coached basketball I have ever seen at the collegiate level.

It was a spike in the old proverbial coffin.

Only way if pollard expects people to come watch next year is if he hires someone to put some hype back in the program. Someone who brings in players that play together and not just on being atheltic and lazy on defense. Sure worked for Rhodes. Fans got hyped up when he arrived, team started to play together and played better d... JUST PLEASE FIND THE RIGHT GUY POLLARD!

some of you spend too much time in church, or friendship club, or something...this is D1 basketball for god's sake and McD has been a failure by even the most conservative definition.

This is not a bad team... they just have NO idea how to win... they can't finish...

Lol!!! We are 14-16 and well on the way to being 14-18. That is bad. Wait, that is borderline awful.

all of this just makes me sick to my stomach. the more I think about it, we are likely screwed whether we bring back mcd or not, and it really makes me sad to know that either way, we are in for a tough near-term future.

Ya you say that, but wouldnt you rather see a guy like Mac succeed instead of that ******* Gene Chizik?
