Did it give them the 6 points he just left on the board by dropping the one before?
Even if he did catch that ball he went to the ground…. Not in the end zone… which I’m pretty sure is not 6 points. Not a guarantee we score that drive anyway.

Said it in the closed thread, but this one just made me sad. Players made mistakes, sure. The X drop looms large, as does the Dekkers end zone pick.

But they also balled the **** out. Dekkers had a truly great day IMO against a very talented defense. Manning implemented a lot more moving pockets, RPOs, etc. that others were mentioning this week and it really did breathe some life into the offense. I'm excited to see if they can keep some positive momentum going as an offense.

Everyone on earth, even the most diehard Texas fan knows deep down that "fumble" at the end is called differently if the jerseys are swapped, even if they'd never admit it. But it's far from the first or last time we've seen or will see that so I'm just sad.

These guys are inches from a special season, but it's pretty much too far gone now. Wish the wrinkles and adjustments we saw today came against Kansas and K-State, but they didn't. So, I'm left just not sure how to feel about the rest of the year.

What we as fans can do is support them as they continue to keep fighting this season. The beauty is in the process. And I'm excited to see what happens. The team hasn't given up and I'm certainly not giving up on them.

Not having a meltdown as I’m use to iowa state winning 3 or 4 games a year OR LESS!

We have lost 4 games this year by a combine total of 14 points. We are in every game. Even with all the mistakes we make. This team is talented and matches up against everyone.

We need this bye week. Don’t get discouraged. I get it’s frustrating but we are loyal sons forever true, Hang in there guys! Let’s focus on the basics.

If I was a WR I’d be catching 200 balls after practice every day. And if a running back spotting holes that many times.

He had two difficult catches on a 3rd and 4th down right before that to extend drives. You're an idiot.

He had a big play to convert a first down right after the drop too.

In some respects he’s the best receiver we’ve had. Lazard/Blythe were better in red zone. Butler was our best big play threat. X probably best at moving the chains we’ve ever had.

Good thing OU won. Hate sharing a damp, dark, wood paneled basement with them.

Get the place to ourselves now.

I mean this thread is amusing. I like a good **** on the refs post game meltdown. It's good for us to have a common enemy. It's a healthy thing for the fan base.

But the fact that several people on here are legit blaming Hutchinson is crazy to me. Just ******* crazy.

Nothing to melt down over we lost but are improving. Dekkers really stepped up today.
Yep. Not sure what the ceiling even is for this year now, a bowl is gonna be really difficult.

But Dekkers stepped up, and I think Manning had his best game of the year. A lot of little changes and adjustments that made the offense fit Dekkers skill set a lot more. I've been very vocal about my criticisms of Manning, but kudos to him today. Wish we would have seen it two games ago and I truly believe the Cyclones are 5-2, but at least we saw some changes.

Dekkers had the bad pick, but I'm not putting that fumble on him, and he threw what may have been/should have been the game winner in addition to a really great line. He kept hitting guys on 3rd and long and that was really impressive imo.

Hutch is awesome. He was not the problem today. ISU played way better today in a tough atmosphere. Both teams made mistakes. ISU put themselves in position to win the game and it was unfortunate the refs decided it in the end.

If we do what we did today we should get Tech, West Virginia, and Oklahoma.
