Don’t tell me Wrestling and WBB are next, then..It's been a real gut punch of a year for ISU sports. You just sat thru TWO top 10 spirals back down to earth.
That's not easy to do.

Jackson looks scared to shoot it and I don’t know why

He hasn’t even had one year to recruit and get his guys.
Well, first notice there were 22 games, meaning we were missing the SELAs and Chicago States. Second, that guy got fired and pretty much everybody outside of Prohm knew it needed to happen. Third, even if they got the full slate of buy games and won 7 or 8 games Prohm should’ve been fired and probably would’ve.you realize that the other team makes adjustments too and we are probably an easy team to figure out because we have no inside game and no really consistent shooters.
anyone asking for a coaching change you need to calm down. We were 2-20 last year and played ugly basketball with no defense
If anyone was surprised by this loss today….. you haven’t been paying attention…. we aren’t a good basketball team….. so that’s on you.
I was adamantly against the hiring of TJ when it happened…. then I ended up eating my words and apologizing for that after our great start….. but now I’m really questioning if TJ is the answer again?
I will give him a few more years of recruiting though and see what he can build. The last several weeks don’t give anyone a ton of hope though.
NIT is doubtfulThat's about the end of our tournament hopes, this game was need-to-win territory for that. They'll still make the NIT and you could say that's a success overall.
This group is regularly being out-coached and outplayed. Another game of no meaningful halftime adjustments, followed by a massive dropoff in second half performance.
A few players with huge numbers of minutes contributed very little to the scoreboard. Fouling/passing was worse as the game went on. The team remains very limited offensively with generally poor post presence and a few guards we won't do much as dribble the ball, it's easy to pick off our passes when you know exactly when they're coming.
On to the next one and try to steal a couple more, but it's definitely not looking promising. We're gonna be that 10th-voted team after all at this rate.
Lazy turnovers absolutely have to do with coaching. I would also say that poor finishing isn't as completely removed from the realm of coaching, either. I'm mostly joking when I say they need to run the Mikan drill but I don't think it's hard to see that the staff has cared far more about one end of the court than the other. We've been told guys get benched for missing defensive assignments yet the same lazy turnovers get made time and time again without anything similar happening.really? Coaching doesn’t have anything to do with turnovers and inability hit wide open shots and layups
This loss is on the coaching staff. Total abomination of a second half (and OT) against a team that isn’t more talented than us and they had a 15 point lead early in the second half.
We all love TJ, but he’s getting schooled in conference play. Other than change due to realignment, coaching in the conference isn’t changing anytime soon.
Yeah, can't be knee Jerk about TJ, as tempting as it is. He deserves a fair shot. This year will be a net positive...I think... but certainly leaving a lot to be desired down the stretch here, and a last place Big 12 finish is appearing likely... which was expected I suppose. He absolutely needs to get better in the 2nd half of games, an area our previous coach consistently failed in alsoIf anyone was surprised by this loss today….. you haven’t been paying attention…. we aren’t a good basketball team….. so that’s on you.

So in the internet world where we know if someone went to Target nobody ever heard of anyone from other schools contacting Jamie at some point?
The bolded is a problem, and sadly no one on the staff appears to be able to give TJO any guidance, because things seem to be regressing.
I think one stroke of genius for Hoiberg was to get Bobby Lutz (who was a successful head coach for a number of years) to help him along that first year, and then Doc Sadler after that. Maybe that "helper" person was supposed to be Kyle Green.
Why would anyone do that when it was pretty clear to everyone what was going to happen months ahead of time?
