He probably knows he’s not a 3 point shooter. I’d rather have a long 2 that goes in. Than 0-11 from 3.
The only difference between a 3 point shot and a deep 2 point shot is 1 point. They're both equally the same efficiency

Write all the checks you want. Everybody gives at a level they are comfortable with. Gets pretty old having someone telling you how to spend your money. Look at those half empty arenas down south and tell me with a straight face that is your goal you want for ISU.
The whole money-spending thing hasn't really worked out for Texas either, so money doesn't equal success in sports. The Dallas Cowboys say hello too when it comes to that.

Well when she gave me the message version of a blunt 'no' I like to think it would make sense.

Mark Few leaving Gonzaga, after all this time and this returning team, to rebuild ISU is quite a thought.

Since she told you no once yeah better quit don't want to get in trouble for stalking.

Ha.

Back to topic--guys that are legends at their schools don't drop what they're doing to come to ISU.

I hear Krzyzewski is going to be available next year. Maybe he finally wants to come to Ames.

They had a close up of him a few nights ago walking off the court. He looked pretty rough and seemed to be limping.

Can't wait for the first time he comes running out of the tunnel at Hilton.

You just gotta hope he doesn't start gnawing on the tv cables courtside.

Just so you guys know, I've had to miss a lot of home games this season but we've won every one I've been at. I will be there tomorrow so bet accordingly.
OMG, so sorry. I know you aren't going to believe this but I didn't make it to the game. I blame this loss on me. Problem is, I will not make next Saturday either so will need some help there.

Well now we’ve found someone for CW to ask the tough questions. Guessing you just didn’t put any effort into it.;)

If anyone was surprised by this loss today….. you haven’t been paying attention…. we aren’t a good basketball team….. so that’s on you.

I was adamantly against the hiring of TJ when it happened…. then I ended up eating my words and apologizing for that after our great start….. but now I’m really questioning if TJ is the answer again?

I will give him a few more years of recruiting though and see what he can build. The last several weeks don’t give anyone a ton of hope though.
Nobody knows if TJ can get it done here aka WINNING a Conference Championship...But we will know 3 years from now if TJ gets a 5th year or not!!

I have to think that TJ will improve with his coaching as time goes on. He has done a great job up to this point. The last couple of weeks games give us all pause, sure.

But this team does not have many if any shooters. Going 0 for 9 for example is not on TJ, when many if not most of these shots were good looks.

Yes TJ needs to evolve and improve. TJ on the other hand doesn't count on this type of shooting performance. From the whole team by and large. If it is something TJ is doing to the team in terms of over-conditioning, then he will have to adjust. If I was dog tired I could probably hit 2-3 of those 3 pointers.

Lack of shooting skill and not throwing the ball to the other team is necessary BB skill. Basketball 101. We need to get better players with better skill. TJ needs to do better with what he has also. The 2nd half today was not good.
MOST OF THE ZERO FOR NINE SHOTS ...were wide open looks! That is Really BAD shooting!!

I know we have talked about this too much......but I hope that wasn't the case.

Like I have said....I was against the hire if it was done under the premise of "his turn". Because that's just plain wrong. It was no more his turn than mine.

But was that done....I don't know. I mean his time at UNLV was well, whatever. He did well at SDSU. But as others have said, this isn't the Horizon.

And wasn't that one of the knocks on Prohm in 2015 that maybe he did well at Murray State, but it was with another coaches players? Couldn't the same have been said about TJ after Nagy at SDSU? All of those concerns were brought forward last spring......and yet here we are.

With all that said however, I am willing to do what most on here would not do with Prohm......give him a chance. I mean it's Iowa State and he is the coach. And they have won 17 games, got me so worked up at 12-0 I predicted a conference title fight and a single digit seed in the tourney. So winning isn't completely foreign to him.

They've lost their mojo somehow. Maybe their confidence is just plain shaken, maybe TJ is a little out of his league.....I don't know. It wouldn't be the first time a former assistant comes in and struggles. Hopefully the guys find it again before the season is all done. I mean they start hitting shots and playing like they did in December, they could possibly win in KC and have some fun in the tourney. I've seen weirder things.
I WOULD SAY..."ALL OF THE ABOVE"...Pretty much describes where out MBB team is right now!!

What’s going to be hilarious is when the Big 12 bombs out or has a very average at best NCAA Tournament showing and then our excuse of it just being so hard to win against these really solid teams goes out the window.

I guessing the refs in the tournament will decide to call all of the fouls they don't call in Big 12 games. Usually they let games turn into rugby matches to favor the Big 10. Not this year. Get ready for it.

I'm referring to the entire season. It's a low efficiency shot, especially when he gets in the mood that he want's to take over. I've watched multiple times where he has passed on a wide open 3 for a contested deep two (usually with a fadeaway), or pulled up when he had a clear lane to the rim.

Would he have been forced to dribble with his right hand to get to the rim? That’s a non starter

But Brock has been a dude this year, and he is the only guy that plays game in and game out.
