Special teams has been horrible. Letting that kickoff bounce and getting it on the 6 was horrible.

Nothing says typical Iowa State series like:
+ False start on first down
+ Followed by a run for zero into the teeth of the D line
+ 2nd down pass thrown behind the receiver
+ Run a pattern 3 yards shy of the sticks on 3rd and long

We expect way too much from our defense and are lucky as **** that they for the most part still deliver. The offense just finds that extra gear of suck

Bad throw and timing
Route run short of the sticks - but I will give Dekkers credit on feeling Remsburg push the end upfield and stepping up into the pocket - tiny victories.

I think Manning is actually making Dekkers worse like Purdy
They just aren't very good, honestly we got guys that in their 3rd year starting and still missing stunts, simple twists and false starting multiple times. They just don't develop guys well.
Dekkers would do better with a half ways decent line and offensive coordinator. I’m scared that by bringing in as talented of a guy as JJ Kohl that Manning and our offensive line will ruin him.

Id' say - stop running the same play that hasn't worked really in three years. Most of Hall's big runs the last two years came on stretch zone not lead / inside. Covid year we did but that we had Derek at guard that year and good Sean Foster.
How we do zero misdirection on any run is absolutely infuriating. It’s a run straight up the gut every ******* time!!

There’s no team in the nation over the years that comes close to Iowa State when you look at false start penalties:
+ Inside the 10
+ immediately after a change of possession
+ Immediately after a big gain
+ and sometimes … immediately after a time out
