Yeah, a down year for most of the conference, really. Certainly wasn't a juggernaut of a conference.
The Tournament is so much about match ups I don't think it's a direct correlation. In the conferences with 14 teams there are more easy wins and some avoidance of the better teams. We probably should have won but as soon as I saw tOSU with their big guy I was concerned because of that match up.

That was an easy matchup if we gave a rip about being there (outside of Shayok and Lard).

I will say the shot clock violation review went against Duke.

Screw you and your objectivity! You are mellowing my harsh bitter Duke hate....

I think you are probably right, but I can also see how they would have a tough time overturning the call on the court based on definitive replay.... but it probably missed the rim by a molecule or two

Can't wait see what Sampson does with Wesson. Will he double him on the catch or not? It will be fun to see what his approach is vs. Coach Prohm's.

If they have the same refs as the ISU game I think tOSU stands a good chance.

Are they the same guys? I see one ref talking to Wesson several times which I don't know why. If he's hooking and shoving are they trying to warn him?
Looks like Sampson is doubling Wesson every time. Don't know if we could have done it as well as Houston is a better defensive team than us.

No idea but they can't be the same because Wesson is in foul trouble as per usual for him.

I have friends and family that are Iowa fans so I take no joy when Iowa loses (except to ISU). They love their team like I love mine so I console them and never rub it in but I'm not into smack or trash talking either.

The fact that I have SO many friends & family who are hak fans is the exact reason I take EXTREME joy in EVERY Iowa loss. I don’t rub it in; I think my silence bothers them even more. They know I’m happy but I don’t show it.

Wesson had two fouls at the 5 minute mark just as he did against us. Surprising they brought him back in for a short while with 2 1/2 left.
