Just filled mine out on yahoo, and I absolutely hate it:
1. Suddenly realize how little I know about the Big East and Pac12.
2. I've got 4 Big12 in the Sweet 16, and only 2 Big 10, so I have all my bias coming thru.
3. Some brackets are all chalk and some are all upsets.

Just a disaster.

So I figured I'd get this thread started early and beat the rush...

I make 10 brackets because that's how many ESPN allows you to and my First Impression is usually my best. The one I spend hours on is usually my worst.

I just make guesses. The less I research, the better I do. I think I've picked the winner twice since 2005 and I had 3/4 Final Four one year and was a 3OT game from having all four.

I make my best half-educated guesses, and make some picks that I think would be fun. Then I see the consequences of my choices and realize again that I'm some kind of moron.

But, if my picks go the way I drew them up, we'll all hate Duke just a little bit more. Any team that knocks us out of the Final Four is an enemy forever.

I'm all about one "Bracket of Integrity."

This year is the hardest in recent memory. Lots of parity.

Last year I was bold and picked a 15 to beat a 2. Two of them did. Neither was the one I picked. The 2 seed that I had knocked out in the first round advanced to the championship game.

Figured this might be the best place for this, but apparently CBS Sports doesn't appreciate the Big 12 this year. In their regional previews they just posted they have Kansas State & Oklahoma State losing in the first round as upsets in the region; North Carolina beats Kansas in the second round; and both Iowa State & Oklahoma are losing in the first/second round as well...

When your two big-time bracket men are Doug Gottlieb and Jerry Palm, you can expect a hate-show.

I am 75% certain Gottlieb didn't leave ESPN, I think ESPN asked him to pack up and find a new job ASAP because his Big XII analysis was terrible last year.

I'm mostly the same, but only because when when I try to make multiple brackets they all look similar anyway.

I grabbed a bunch of random numbers from random.org, used KenPom's pythag to compute Win%'s, and basically did weighted coin flips to fill out two brackets. In both of them, Midwest region had no upsets and Davidson made a Sweet 16 run... I may have to run the simulations again.

You are trying too hard. I did something similar one year. Failed.
