Here nor there
I don't see anything different this year at all folks.

The 1st quarter was kind of a fluke. I think NDSU was a bit nervous to start, but are settling down big time now and starting to dominate us in the trenches on both sides.

I'm just so sick and tired of being the "cute" finesse team. That is BS! This is football, not dance class.

UNI ran it down our throats last year and physically manhandled us, and now NDSU is starting to do the same. And on the other side, we can't run it at all on them. So we're forced to throw, and guess what, our WR's can't get open, so Sam is running for his life again.

This offense looks EERILY similar to last year right now. I cannot understand why we can't enforce our will on them and run the ball?
The fluke plays definitely favor NDSU, not ISU. Which is typical, of course. We just need to start capitalizing on what is there. CPR has not gotten his team to do that for 1.5 years.

NDSU is a very good tackling team.. And we are not. We caught a break on the block in the back, but you have a guy pinned on the sideline and you let him get out..

******* screens!!!! It doesn't work!!!!

Throwing downfield against deep zone coverage doesn't work either - which is exactly what happened in the first half when SR was nearly picked off for throwing against what everyone assumed was triple coverage (which it wasn't when he let the ball go).

Jeezis, did some of you guys expect NDSU to just take their ball and go home at 14-0? They've won 24 in a row, which only happens when you have a good team that is mentally tough. Also, we knew that they didn't know what to expect from Mangino so it makes sense that it took them a quarter to figure out some of what he's doing. Again, their coaches aren't stupid, eventually they'd see something. Now we'll get to see what happens when Mangino gets halftime adjustments installed.

I've been impressed with NDSU's physicality.

No, but I think most of us expected ISU to keep playing when up 14-0 too.
