Purdue is very enigmatic in my mind. No idea what a game between us and them would look like, even as I watch Purdue play. Swanigan and especially Haas are intimidating. Do we negate at least one of them with our style of play?

I also disagree with the popular take that media folk have been feeding us about their guard play being average. The guards look pretty good to me.

Who has said this? Everybody I've heard says they've got a NBA caliber guard surrounded by good shooters.
I was talking about Purdue, as I've heard Adam Gray (not media, I know) say in several podcasts that their guards were nothing special and they rely on their front court guys. Seems like I've heard Chris and Ross say similar things on fanatics as well.

Both of these teams are bad. Purdue should have been blowing them out the whole game.

Honestly think Purdue will be hard to prepare for in just a day. We will need to push tempo, force them to play small, and hope to get Swanigan in foul trouble early.

1003 official tip time. That's going to feel like 1003 hours from now!

Also, sounds like Purdue has a pretty big contigent of fans there. If we get by Nevada, that game should be rockin.

Assuming we beat Nevada/Reno, I think it will be important not to always double down on Swanigan or Haas. Purdue is shooting a bit over 40% from the three. We need to play tough perimeter defense and do as best we can inside. Would be nice to see some full or 3/4 court pressure as it seemed Purdue had trouble with Vermonts press. BTW, seemed to me that Vermont was pretty good. They had won 21 in a row, tough to do no matter who you play.
