***Official portal tracker thread***

The statistics for this need to be put on blast by the NCAA, conferences and schools. It may not matter to most athletes, but maybe more of the marginal players would stay put when they are already in a decent spot.
Kind of what I think about a lot of the guys leaving ISU. Can't imagine some of these guys being prize recruits for good teams at the top level. Rocco, the two tight ends, probably a few others are going to get paid. The WRs that drop half the passes that are thrown to them, not so much. The other part of this equation is Rogers has probably told a few guys that they need to move on. He has no loyalty to those guys that Campbell kept around that were never going to make major contributions.

Thats why I respect some of that guys posts but I don't really like him and dont see the point of him on this board.

We were absolutely robbed of a title in 2000. Can you imagine if any Big 10 team won their regular season, tournament titles, then had to play Iowa State in Des Moines or Kansas City. Total bs.

While I will never actually get over that 2000 game I was (mostly) just being a smartass in calling out @FriendlySpartan.

More often than not his contributions are positive, but I guess that’s a pretty low bar given how many people on here are batshit insane.

We will need to wait and see who the portal adds are to completely understand how they view it, but there's enough DL staying that tells me they think they have talent there and will only add one or two up front. They have LB's with close connections coming in, sounds like. Offense is going to be largely a total overhaul from the portal though.

Wonder what the odds are we get those 2 NDSU offensive lineman...

Definitely good on the Center. Sounds like the LT has some big offers already but would be huge to add them both. NDSU has as many OL taken in the first 2 rounds of the draft in the last 3 years as we have in our entire history. Obviously some good coaching and talent evals going on there.

Hopefully the implication that Rogers could retain more players if he cared to do so was inadvertent. It could taken as blaming him for the exodus.
It's pretty obvious that he could have retained more guys if wanted to. He can't control the portion going to PSU or some of the others that will get big offers, but I think what we're seeing is some clarity to what the priority areas have been. That is that DL is significantly harder/more expensive to get in the portal and not going to pay a premium to try and retain guys that will be easier/cheaper to replace.

Not pushing them out necessarily, but being transparent about what can be done from a compensation perspective and if they think they can get a bigger bag elsewhere and that's what is important to them then they are free to go.

For all the talk the past decade on how Matt was a master at developing a good offensive line it sure would be nice if that actually happened and not just the obligatory spring game hype.

Why you must be a fun guy holding grudges from 25 years ago just because they are a fan now of that team. Yikes

And this is coming from me who was almost to the point of throwing my TV out the living room window. It affects me none today.

Agree. It will be interesting to see how many guys get big offers that are not on the Ped St poach list. Gotta believe the top guys think it's Ped St or bust.

The implication is that they have priorities. Not sure that should be offensive to anyone
No, that is the explicit text not the implication.

And no, that probably shouldn’t offend anyone. Nor should the implication for that matter.

My point is that it is a somewhat plausible reading given the context of the last few weeks that CW may think Rogers could have done more to retain others if he’d only worked harder or shown more interest.

And my hope, as I said, is that this was inadvertent and not some kind of intentional backhanded comment.
