What I don't want to hear post game is that this is non-conference and conference is all that matters, or anything that resembles that argument. You need 20 wins minimum to reach the NCAA's and we've given the last two away.

I really do like G-Mac, but our teams do this constantly...we can't keep momentum. More importantly, being outhustled is absolutely unacceptable at home. UNI is not better than we are, we coasted and the kicked our *** for it.

Nebraska will out hustle us in conference at this rate . I have no idea why so many stupid shots were taken by four of the players. Let DG handle the ball at this point.

Unless he goes Mangino, he's not in danger of losing his job this year.

How not? He hasn't had a winning season yet. At least Morgan never had a losing season while at ISU and we fired him in lieu of a fake "scandal" that got squashed about 3 days after it came out.

Easy answer to alot of this.

SLOW THE **** DOWN!!!

This solves your rebounding problem. Everyone is worried about running before getting the damn ball. And it might help us get into an offensive rhythm, instead of jacking up ****balls.

This team has proven against good competition, it cannot get out and run.

Dude, almost all of our players do it. You need to realize that. Especially Staiger. He's probably the worst on the team at it. All he does is shoot with 26 seconds left on the clock with a hand in his face. Just watch for it next game

Well im not even blaming coaching for that...thats just being a dip ****

You're probably right. He will be gone following another crappy season next year in the midst of another "rebuilding" year and with Hilton half empty on a nightly basis.

I may disagree with Bawbie about a lot of things, but I respect the hell out of the passion they show.

If McD cared 1/4th as much as Bawbie does about things, HB would be a Cyclone and this team would be undefeated and unchallenged.

This might be the dumbest thing ive ever heard
And Im in the camp that thinks MCd is probably over matched

I don't fault so much the coaches or the refs; we made some poor plays all night long: bad passes, failure to cut off their drives (seems like every UNI player but the big center put the ball on the floor and drove down the lane for scores), poor rebounding on both ends (doesn't anyone follow their shots anymore? If you are going to allow guys 6'10" or 6'11" to shoot from way outside, how about asking them to follow their shots for rebounding). I am beginning to think we have only paper height--looks good on paper but doesn't lead to much inside on the boards. Finally, maybe we have some good talent but that talent too often does not demonstrate good basketball sense.

The only people you can possibly fault for these things are the coaches! All the things you mentioned above are the result of inadequate preparation and teaching.

Not, nothing could have changed HB decision to come here unless we were UNC and Jordan was an alumni.

UNI is not a bad team...They killed BC and BC beat or is beating Michigan tonight. I'm as upset as everyone else is, but maybe we should just calm down a little and see how we rebound from this one.

This is the coaches fault on controlling what his players do in critical situations. We should have been up by 10 with five minutes left but we dithered it away.

I want to defend Mac and often times I have on here, but I can't tonight. Why did Brackins only get 10 field goal attempts? Why didn't Hamilton play more in the 2nd half? Those are the two big questions I have right now.

Also, I'm ready to pull Dendy's scholarship after that mind-boggingly dumb shot. I really can't blame McD for not calling a time-out. Anyone with half a brain would know not to take that shot.

Yes I agree, if McDermott would stomp his feet act like a child and swear more we'd be a FANTASTIC team.

There are obvious problems with the management of this team currently. Greg screaming at his players during the game is not going to fix them

Yes, I think it's both coaching and idiots. In the beginning, yes the players are obviously at fault since they do it right away. is it not the coach's job to realize it and bring a player into their office and say "stop shooting the ******* ball with 25 seconds left on the clock."

I write about it EVERY game and it's like it passes in everyone's ear and out the other. Now people are kind of realizing it. Watch all of our games, especially from last year. It's nothing even close to new. We have no shot selection discipline.

Gimme a break. We beat them last year with less talent. This is our Hilton and we screwed it up again.

UNI wanted it more. UNI won.
I feel bad for the players, but the look in the eyes of UNI players vs. ISU, you could have bet and won on this one. Watch the energy in the UNI huddle during the last time out and you can see the difference. They were pumped, yelling, flexing, the whole deal.
The team that wanted this game won the game. Good for them, they deserve it. They played the entire game to win. Even when down by 9.

He's one of Jamie's guys and I don't think we can afford it.
