Re: i still cannot understand how brackins cannot post

up. how can he not score around the basket? he has a good jumper, that is it. why does he turn his shoulder to the hoop once he gets there and fade away? its easy to block his shot that way... square up if your going to fade away so they cant block it.

He's getting double teamed everytime he touches the ball down low.

NW and UNI are very disciplined defensive teams and were able to effectively shut the post off for Brackins.

He needs to figure our other ways to score, like getting the ball in the high post and driving.

First, let me say that it has been awhile since I have been to a game at Hilton.

I sat in the 16th row of Section 232. I sat right in front of about 4-5 UNI students, who showed more passion and cheered louder than the entire Cyclone Alley.

Can we please get rid of the following: 1) stupid gimmicks before the starting line up is announced, 2) ridiculous commercials during timeouts, 3) and dancing and "pump up the pasta".

The atmosphere at Hilton was absolutely pathetic. That place was certainly not the Hilton I remember. It honestly felt like a road game from where I was sitting.

I am stunned by this loss--its like a punch in the gut. I had to drive back to Cedar Falls last night with the sounds of "U--N--I!" in my ears.

Here's the real problem, if Mac doesn't get us to the NCAA's this year severe apathy will set in.

So far his coaching has been nothing but lackluster. Last night was an abomination of ISU coaching.

We have been bigger than our last two opponents and have gotten outrebounded and outhustled, no excuse.

Losing to UNI doesnt bother me since they are more than likely an NCAA Tournament team, its the way we get beat that bothers me

For a team that goes 6'11", 6'10", 6'6", 6'5", and 6'4":

5 Free Throws
Outrebounded 49 to 34
Outrebounded 13 to 6 Offensively

Pathetic. It is a loss to a close loss to a good team, but we deserved to get beat by more.

The good news is that losing Brackins next year really isn't going to hurt us much. He's going to be a much more valuable NBA player than college player because he'll get the same shots and make the same percentage when he's in the NBA. The shots he takes he can take on anyone.
