if he throws the ball instead of lobs it up, this could be a very happy board right now

So Kuehl has now contributed an 18-yard punt and one of the weakest looking passes in college football history. Great job. I sure hope Kuehl threw it a lot better in practice because he looked like, well, a punter. Off the wrong foot, short-armed, no zip. C'mon man!!!

I like the call to go for it at the end, but I would have preferred Arnaud be the guy who executed it. Damn it sucks to lose this one.

If Arnaud were the one holding there's no element of surprise. The only other guys you could have thrown in there is Capello.

The play call and lack of execution is going to hurt if this team ends up 5-7 and on the outside looking in of bowling.

Loved the call in OT - as someone said - any zip whatsoever on that pass and it's an easy 2 pts. The question I would be asking myself as a staff - why not choose to go with the wind after winning the toss. I understand the whole "defense gets to know how many pts. you have to go for" at the end. But, wind was such an obvious factor in this game - and going with the wind did not favor Nebraska one bit - but our offense sure looked darn good with the wind. Plus - score the first touchdown in OT - puts MAJOR pressure on a team that quite frankly couldn't have been very confident at that point. Well - Love the heart of this team. No complaints - GO CYCLONES!

Again, I feel horrid, lot of emotions right now. But we might really have something here with this coaching staff and players. Out guys just lined up and slugged it out with the number 7 team in the country and it could have gone either way, in fact, for most of the game we outplayed them. Really physical game, just so close.

Go get CU next weekend and then another shot at taking down a big one at home.

right on... wide open.. makes it hurt badly... so open, just throw it please and we are freaking celebrating like no other... tough tough loss... we had the chance to win 3 times.. to times in 4th quarter, and that fake PAT in overtime... dang it. :/

I don't mind going for the win there. By if you decide to go for two I'd much rather see the offense out on the field trying to pick up a couple yards instead of relying on your holder to make the game winning pass. Tell your offense as they run on the field that you are going to punch it in the end zone and then we are going to leave you out there to win the game for us. Faking the extra point just seems like too much of a hope and prayer instead of letting your playmakers win the game.

Actually - I agree with this too. I don't think they had an answer for Frankin - so line up the Offense - and basically say - "man up - our best against yours - let's go." While fakes are exciting - there is so much that can go wrong. Excellent point.

The way the offense had played in the 4th quarter I think you should just go for it with your best set of offensive personnel on the field. Arnaud is your team leader let him decide the fate of the game.

I'm not saying that it was a bad call, I just would have preferred an alternate one.

You guys had us on the ropes the whole game. WE WERE LUCKY TO WIN THIS ONE! Best wishes Clones fans. It's been fun playing you guys each year. You always play us tough in Ames and have been the spoiler on more than one occasion.

I will be cheering for the Cyclones the rest of the season. Knock of Mizzou, get to a great bowl game and make the Big XII proud.

They were saying on the TV broadcast that in overtime, the winner of the coin toss has to choose offense or defense. The choice of wind/which end to defend is not an option on the overtime coin toss.

I am so depressed right now. My heart fell out of my body and still hasn't made its way back.
