We play Friday don’t we? It would be Wednesday
3 of the play-in game winners play on Friday so one of the matchups will play on Tuesday instead. Lucky us, it's the Pitt MSST game that was chosen (don't know why)

Been saying it on here for a couple of weeks, how in the heck does the #1 ranked conference by every metric get fewer teams in than the SEC and the B10? I thought the rankings matter, if that is what the numbers say, then Ok. State and even TT belonged in before some of the lower ranked NET teams from the B10 and SEC.

Now do the %s since those conferences have 4 more teams.

Tech and Okie State were on the bubble 2-3 weeks ago but both lost crucial games down the stretch.

Just filled out my first bracket. Obviously put loads of effort into it.

Kansas repeats as champs.

Houston and Bama lose 2nd round.

I love our matchups compared to what we could have gotten. Xavier is very beatable IMO.

As for Iowa, it sounds like Auburn can’t score at all, so I don’t think that’s as tough a game as some think. And I feel like Houston is the worst 1 seed, and without one of their best players…. you never know. I don’t think Iowa’s draw is all that bad actually.

Still hope Pearl buries them though!!

I'm guessing because those two were higher on the master seed list than Arizona State and Nevada.

Nevada and AZ st play Wednesday, then again Friday. Both Iowa St and TCU play the play in game winners on Friday.

Miss st and Pitt get extra day I guess
Yeah I don’t get that.

Why one isn’t playing Tuesday/Thursday and one Wednesday/Friday is beyond me

I just think we've had a lot of naïve folks around here lately. End of the day, the committee members are humans using judgement to figure this all out. Doesn't matter what's on the "team sheet' or not, or what the stated metrics and criteria are.

They didn't like the big 12 as much as the metrics did. I tired to suggest the big 12 is "overrated", while still being the best conference and people told me I was a moron.

Anyway, seed doesn't matter, you have to play great teams regardless.

I don't think anybody's being naive here about the Big XII being the best conference. And of course the metrics mattered to the committee.

At the end of the day, they have to split hairs with regards to things like bubble teams, seeding, overall 1 seed etc. And to make those choices they use a combination of criteria.

With any given team, one criteria might win the day over the others.

I thought OSU should've gotten in, but they were a bubble team, and being on the bubble's never a great place to be. They had some opportunities to win some games they should've this season but didn't. And that cost them.

I mean, if they had gotten in, is anybody here complaining about the Big XII getting screwed? It's one team.

So looking at MSU stats, they shoot 43% from the field, 64% from the line and like 27% from 3.
This ibased on ESPN stats so they could be wrong, but that is ugly

They kind of remind me of ISU of last year. They hit the boards hard.

Naturally, that means if they play Iowa State they will shoot 65% from the field, 50% from three and 100% from FTs.

The "idiot" beside him is Jay Wright. Former head coach of Villanova. Who's been to multiple final fours and has won a nation title. I think he knows a thing or two about basketball. The guy to his left...Seth Davis, is moronic foolbrain.
I meant the idiot beside beside Kellogg. read my edited version.

Actually for bubble, I was most surprised Nevada in / Rutgers out ... not saying it's based on MY analysis, or that both or neither would/wouldn't make it.

Re: Oklahoma State -- I already assumed it'd miss the cut.

Yeah that's the only explanation that makes sense. I would have put the other game on Tuesday just due to those teams' travel distance and needing to play the next one in Denver vs. Greensboro
