Ya, it's not that simple man. They are getting pressure with a 4 man rush, and playing their dbacks to the line taking away the quick throws. The adjustment was to take some quick shots down the sideline, but Park overthrew several and they dropped a couple. They've also completed some too.

I don't know, maybe it was just not being ready for Texas physicality, but they seemed unprepared to me. Texas also blitzed quite a bit, and to me they looked off balance. I'm not Jon Gruden, and could certainly be wrong.

Defensively, I thought we played well enough to win the game. But we were really exposed on the offensive line tonight. 10 yards rushing is pathetic and the game was never so far out of hand that we had to pass because of the game situation, it's just that our OL was completely outclassed tonight. Our OL is better than last year, but it will still be another year or two of good recruiting and OL development before we can compete with the top half of the conference.

Is there somewhere to listen to the call in show online? I'd like to hear the meltdown.

I wonder if Troy Davis would have got his yards if he only got 10 carries a game. I doubt if Montgomery even worked up a sweat. I think he is the kind of back that wants and needs several carries in a row

The o line is not good, so not even Troy would have been successful.

Defense was great. Tom Manning better figure out how to call a game or be out of a job. Pathetic scheme against an aggressive defense all night. Montgomery getting 9 carries in a close game is absolutely ******* inexcusable.

Better figure something out, because he just showed all of our future opponents that all they have to do is blitz a lot.

I don't think we used Montgomery as a decoy much either. Our OL was so bad he had to block more.

But UT would show looks & someone would make the protection call. Don't know if it was QB, center, or sideline, but far too many times it was the absolute opposite & incorrect call. Big, big issue there to fix.

That is the problem with this offense......Every freaking game it cannot sustain a drive because there are some overthrows, there is a drop, a sack, a penalty. Are they too dumb to have him get under center a play or two a series and quick snap, not starting 8 yards deep, and move FORWARD. Every 10 yard pass we do is like 20 because Park is 10 yards deep. Just wierd. And I don't know how you can defend this offensive performance.

got to hand it to the defense, they played pretty well for as bad as the offense was. There were so many close plays in that game and ISU was on the wrong side of every one of them.

I dont know if I should blame the playcalling or the O-line play more for the inept offensive playing. That being said...

If this is the worst game we play all season (which it almost has to be offensively at least), its still 10x better than our worst game last year of being blown out by Iowa and losing to UNI

Wtf was that? What a disaster.

Nah, not a disaster. We had the defense we needed. But the offense was slightly less than sharp. Overall, this game was just a bit of a ploppy turd, but I wouldn't call it a disaster. If you want to see a disaster, I'll refer you to ISU vs UT 2011. Now THAT was a disaster. Offense AND Defense took that loser train to poopytown that night...

Terrible game by Park. Perhaps something outside of football had him mentally off today. He looked unbalanced. Manning called a crap game. 12 days off and this is the product that gets rolled out? Something doesn't add up on the offensive side of the ball while the defense continued to improve like you would think given the extra practice.

Couple drives UT was able to run down our throats in 1st half. Our D had the gut check & came out 2nd half & played more inspired & much better ball.
Our offense was not able to adjust at half, which is a 1st this season. Still not wrong to question:
(1) what the **** was the game plan? &
(2) whatever it was, how was Montgomery going to be involved?

Maybe, or maybe we're no longer playing MAC defenses
