It was pretty good. I enjoyed TDK more simply because of the Joker. This last one was the story of Bruce Wayne.

Just got back... I thought it was really good. Hard to pick between it and TDK... Agree that no performance topped the Joker but I think I enjoyed this story more

I really enjoyed it. Not sure I enjoyed the ending, but at the same time I understand why he ended it the way he did. If The Dark Knight was 5 stars out of 5, I'll give this one 4. I really enjoyed it and would certainly see it in theaters again and will have it preordered as soon as Amazon has it up...if they dont already.

saw it in IMAX....the huge scale of this film (with a lot of practical effects instead of CGI) cannot underestimated.

The "jedi' installment of the trilogy.

I just got back from it. My snap reaction is that it's my least favorite of the three, but I want to sleep on it. It kind of suffered from the same problem that Return of the King did in the LOTR trilogy. They writers knew it was the last go-round, so they just blew it out with all the unused ideas they had. Still a smart, entertaining summer action flick. And I had my doubts when Anne Hathaway was cast, but good God almighty...she does this one little move on the Batcycle that has to be seen. Words don't describe it.

I'm surprised Nolan didn't fire Gary Oldman and hire Leo DiCaprio to play Commissioner Gordon. Everybody else from Inception was in this movie.

Just got back from it and came away thinking it was absolutely incredible. My favorite of the 3. Heath Ledger's Joker is the greater performance of the trilogy, but all in all this movie took the cake IMO.

Interested to see what DC does here. Nolan is done, and Bale has said no Nolan, no him. But with DC wanting to come out with The Justice League in the near future they will need Batman. He's essential IMO. Not only Batman but Bruce Wayne himself. But if it's a Bruce Wayne other than Bale I won't be on board. And I'm guessing many many people who love this trilogy will be unhappy as well. So do they reboot the story before coming out with Justice League? Or do they try to convince Bale to come back on?

Also.. it wouldn't seem to fit with this trilogy being so close to real to life while all of DCs other superheroes are so far fetched.

I don't know. The nerd in me is really excited about where DC and Marvel take the superheroes I grew up loving. Exciting times.

This is the reason they will need a new Batman. Bale does not fit in with the other heroes. I hope they just start the new Batman off in the JL movie and don't put out a bad origin movie.

Again with the real life stuff.

I like the Dark Night because of its themes, not because of the action which it did seem like it was severely lacking in action.

Bane is an incredible villain, liked him even more than expected. It was a little hard to understand him at times though.

Catwoman stole the show, Hathaway was brilliant in the role.

I think you know what they mean.

I saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it. It didn't blow me away like Dark Knight did but I thought it was good. The more I think about it today the more I like it. And I like Anne Hathaway but I was skeptical that she could pull of catwoman, but she was pretty outstanding.

It was a great movie.
There were times I could tell that Joker was MEANT to be the bad guy, but Christopher Nolan did a brilliant job rewriting parts of it for Bane.

Nolan did a great job of really wrapping up pretty much every loose-end in his trilogy. (Minus the ending loose-end)

With Nolan done directing Batman, but with Syncopy and Nolan producing Man of Steel, maybe DC is just going to get Nolan to try to produce their Justice League movies, keep him involved, give him some control over everything.

Can anyone tell me which comic this movie was based off of? I remember seeing it somewhere on here but couldnt find it. PM me if you know. Bonus points if you know what comics each of the three were based on.

From my understanding and reading the majority of the Tone of this movie was from "The Dark Knight Returns" and a bit from "Nightfall".

TDK was a mix of "The Killing Joke", and "Joker" (I seem to recall another Batman book in there, but I can't remember off the top of my head.)

I honestly don't know which book Batman Begins was based off of...

Knight fall, knight quest, and knights end are the graphic novels that have the greatest influence. I've read a lot of batman graphic novels and comics and this series is what made Bane awesome. The comic story is way better than the movie adaption.

I enjoyed this movie. I still think The Dark Knight is the best of the three, but The Dark Knight Rises comes in second. This movie is HUGE in everything; characters, events, sets, etc... There were some plot holes and there were areas I wish could have been expanded more. Especially the whole "Bane's revolution", I wish that could have been more expanded, but then the movie would have lasted many more hours I guess. And speaking of the running time, this movie moves. I did not realize we were near the end until the climatic final scenes started. I really want to know how they move on from this movie. Do they move forward, like "Batman Beyond", do they do a full reboot, or do they go in a direction I cannot think of? Or do they wait until they do a full trilogy of the Superman movies until they come back to Batman? To think how low this franchise was with Batman and Robin. "Everybody, CHILL!" Terrible, god awful movie. Mr. Nolan, you have done a marvelous job. Thank you.
