Wow. Rory digging himself an early hole. Quad on the first.
It's the luck of the draw in the Open Championship. There's always a good chance of awful weather moving in at some point during the day and you just hope you aren't on the course when it happens.Wow, windy and pouring rain. Looks miserable.

Yes you're reading that correctly. He's through 14 now.I think I'm reading the Leaderboard correctly; Golf Analyst, David Duval, who is pretty much retired, is +14 after 13-holes.

In my golf playing days I would have killed to be +14 after 14 holes on a course like this.
I'd like to see that 13, no water involved on this course, what the hell could happen to make a pro 8 over on one hole?
Rory might not make the cut. I think the pressure of trying to win in his own country got to him.
You clearly have never golfed with meDuval finishes +19...I know he's basically retired as a golfer, but still...you never see a score like that.
We live just outside of Belfast and Northern Ireland is seriously the most despressing area, weather wise. Sun peaks out for 20 minutes if you are lucky, you try to do something but then you get poured on.
That said the coastal areas are gorgeous and actually reminds me of NE Iowa, just more rain.
My wife will be drinking with a bunch of old dudes on the #1 tee tomorrow. "Corporate outing".
