Rob Jones has improved his game enough I can see him playing professionally after this year.
I was actually thinking that after he made a nice mid jumper in traffic at a clutch time. He's still a little clunky but he's like a completely different player now.

His comments Robert Jones setting elite level screens and open up the pick and roll options was spot on.
Kudos to King. It’s clear he’s applying himself. That first year was atrocious.

(Was ESPN doing remote telecast when he started?) that first year sounded like he was calling the game while scrolling through his feed/texting.

VCU's win probability was 91.2% when up 59-49 with 6:02 left.

Momcilovich didn't look that bad or outmatched out there to me. He went 2-9. I know at least 2 or 3 of his shots rimmed out. He missed one layup but so did everyone else. He had 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 turnovers and 1 PF in 27 minutes. So he didn't make any mistakes, but he could be a little more aggressive.

Curtis Jones went 1-9. It's the third time in 5 games his shots haven't fallen. He definitely does the "other" things well. He had 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 0 turnovers in 28 minutes.

I would like to see Jones be a little more selective with his shots. Maybe Lipsey can work with him during the off-season.

Looking at the box score and holy hell we were lucky to come out of that one unscathed. Talk about hopefully a wake up call for TJ and Co. Vcu is certainly a step up (or two) from Idaho State and Grambling, but that is still a team that likely isn't making the field of 68 as an at large. Would have been a bad loss for the resume. Hopefully the guys shoot a little better this afternoon.

How is it a bad loss?

They won their conference, made the tourney last year and I believe are picked to do similar this year.

They were far and away a step up ftom what ISU has played on top of just being a bad physical matchup with their length and athletic advantage.
