Even if ISU isn't in the DSM region, I would think Iowa would have gotten there. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more people in Hilton then in Wells Fargo

Britney Griner in dsm region. My plan to marry and father her nastily tall babys so I never have to worry about money again is starting to play itself out.

So the women (could) get Kentucky in Ames and the men (could) get Kentucky in Louisville. Which one has the better shot at the second weekend?

Personally, I think it's the women. They've had a difficult conference season and that experience could help with both Green Bay and Kentucky. Both teams will have to have incredible shooting nights to win any of these games.

My first impression is that the Big 12 got a great shake with 6 teams in. Our loss to KSU really hurt us. While we may not be anxious to face GB again (we barely squeaked a win 2 yrs. ago) I'm sure GB isn't thrilled to be coming back to Ames - the previous loss surely left a bad taste in their mouth. Bottom line, we were hoping to get in, now we're in, so tighten the shoe strings, suck it up, and show them we will protect our home turf!

Actually 7, believe it or not. Kansas was a bit of a surprise. The committee loved the Big 12.

Sorry, thanks for the correction. Just saw Kansas and Texas were in last group in. In addition, Okie State was in group last out !!!!!!!!!!!!

If I recall correctly from two years ago, Green Bay is well coached; the team plays very sound defense and does not make many mistakes.

Baylor + Tennessee = a pretty interesting potential regional in DSM. People who go there may see Pat Summitt's last game.

Don't forget Elena Della Donne, not sure of the spelling, one of the best players in the country, plays for Delaware. I would have preferred to see ND as I would like to see Diggins play in person but this was the closest region for Baylor.

They beat Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, and Illinois early on; Detroit was their only loss.

wow is Green Bay under seeded. Oh well, better than the 8/9 game

They are not under seeded. You start breaking down their schedule and they are seeded correctly.

Green Bay - RPI - 22, SOS - 159
Opponents RPI - 179 average
Of their 30 wins 24 are against teams outside the RPI top 100 (80%)
Conference RPI # 13

The other # 7's
DePaul - RPI 20, SOS-15
Opponents RPI - 96 average
12 of 22 wins against teams outside the RPI 100
Conference RPI - 3

Louisville - RPI 23, SOS-47
Opponents RPI - 105 average
15 of 22 wins against teams outside the RPI 100
Conference RPI - 3

Vandy - RPI 28, SOS 30
Opponents RPI - 112 average
17 of 22 wins against teams outside the RPI top 100
Conference RPI - 2

# 6's
Oklahoma - RPI 27, SOS-12
Opponents RPI - 85 average
9 of 20 wins against teams outside the RPI top 100
Conference RPI - 1

Rutgers - RPI 13, SOS 14
Opponents RPI - 86 average
12 of 22 wins against teams outside the RPI top 100
Conference RPI - 3

Arkansas - RPI 33, SOS 48
Opponents RPI - 112 average
16 of 23 wins against teams outside the RPI top 100
Conference RPI - 2 1 one loss to a team below 150 in the RPI

Nebraksa - RPI 31, SOS 50
Opponents RPI - 112 average
14 of 24 wins against teams outside the RPI top 100
Conference RPI - 5

I could easily flip DePaul/Louisville for Arkansas & Nebraska, but to say Green Bay is under seeded is false.
