This board was clearly not prepared to handle a successful season.

How is this season any more successful than last year? It's nothing new.

Last year we went 11-7 in conference, won a Big 12 tournament game, and won an NCAA game.

We can only match the conference record.

Both tournaments, we don't know yet.

Big deal that we started 14 - 0 if with a bunch of close wins. Conference play and the NCAA are what matters, so we don't know enough yet to call this season a success.

It may be a surprise we didn't have as much rebuilding to do as we thought, but that's not enough to gauge success either.

We're at the worst we've looked all season at the worst time.

Anyone notice that this was the first time Baylor actually hustled? They were getting their hands in the passing lanes and deflecting balls, normally they are one of the laziest teams in America. They are in desperation mode, our bench guys showed more tonight than they have all year, lets hang our hat on that, get rested up and beat OSU Saturday. All we can do.

Major? Lol no. These games have been huge for our opponents and not real important for us. Fred is certainly going to try to win them, but the real games start in a couple weeks. With that said, I think OSU is very important to get back some swagger.

Yeah, to hell with 2nd in the conference, why finish there when you can finish 5th?

Also, I laugh at people predicting a loss to OSU on Saturday. Won't be easy for OSU coming to Hilton and getting a win. A lot on here forget how huge home court advantage is in college basketball.

This team is different. It lacks a consistent 3 point threat.

But it's way better defensively. I'd love to win every game, BUT I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS:

That's not possible. We aren't going to get every rebound. We aren't going to make every free throw. We aren't going to have zero turnovers every game.

This board was clearly not prepared to handle a successful season.

Even the best teams, and we're right up there, lose to tourney teams on the road with regularity. That's the price of a conference this strong, and part of the struggle of having a good team. We can convince ourselves that these games don't happen, but they happen to everyone.

Your common sense is getting in the way of irrational panic!
Face it, many posters on this board are ******* crybaby idiots

Do you think Baylor played well tonight?

Melvin certainly looked flustered tonight, not just by his lack of scoring but by how he was missing passes to him that he normally handles.

The three from Kane to tie the game at 61 was huge, and then we couldn't do anything right after that. That's what scares me about this team, how it totally falls apart in the final two minutes of games.

The three point shooting, especially in the first half, was just unreal. It felt like it was the kind of game we've been waiting for all season ...

Losing to Baylor on the road isn't a bad loss. They have lot more athletic talent on their roster.

ISU needs energy and smart play for 40 minutes heading into the tourneys to be successful. Hopefully they can step it up. Kane is ready.

Ladies, ladies, ladies. Settle down. It could be so much worse. Look at Syracuse. They have lost to two terrible ACC teams at home. Our losses are on the road against teams desperate for wins. It will be okay.

It's not that we lost, it's how poorly we played. I get the sense that if you were the coach we would not have even made the trip there. Road game against a tourney team*, why bother??

**They're not a tourney team without tonight's win, you're welcome Bears.

Baylor's zone was REALLY GOOD. I give them credit we couldn't get the ball inside on that zone and when we did they had active hands.

Move on and learn. We are in the NCAA Tournament and that is what matters to me.

It's hard to feel confident about either tourney now. We always play terrible in the Big 12 tourney, our one win in the last 5 or so years was a game we played like absolute **** in. What's gonna happen when we get into the tourney? Games against West Virginia, TCU, and Texas Tech have proven they think they are better than. What gonna happen when we play a game against a 12 or 13 seed that are excited just to be there or a bubble team that is riding a wave of momentum?
