The refs didn't hurt us anywhere near what our inability to shoot did.

I saw fouls that I wanted to be calls, but that's mostly because I wanted them to be fouls, not because they were. They didn't really seem out of line at all.

+1. being 2-13 from outside (at one point) flat-out hurts. If only three more were to drop, the game is won for us.

This season has been about win streaks, followed by a deflating loss. THe nice thing is we have bounced back from said loss in the next game. KU will certainly be a game to watch from begining to end.

Thanks for the feedback. It is nearly impossible to judge the refs listening to the radio, but I think this game came down to whoever wasn't the worst team on the court. We couldn't shoot from anywhere and Texas shot ok and had more turnovers than I am sure they wanted. We just couldn't capitalize on their mistakes.

ISU had a couple of defenders knocked down that may have been charges or flops, hard to tell with the tiny picture. RW got called for a charge that was total BS. Basically the kind of stuff you expect on the road.

I had a pretty good view of some of those plays near the end where Brown and Chapman pushed off or elbowed to create space and our guys hit the floor. Seems they should have been pretty obvious calls to me.

The thing that stuck to me was that the zebras really didn't call much in the first 5 minutes or so, which helped us on defense as we were allowed to play pretty physically and go after some loose balls. After the first media timeout, either our defense got worse, or the refs started blowing their whistles, because we went from 0 fouls to 4 in about a minute. Then, towards the end of regulation, I felt Texas was able to get away with quite a bit of contact to help them seal the deal.

Probably the worst call was when one of UT's players was "fouled" by McGee after firing a three, so he got three shots. The ref did not blow the whistle until after the 3-point shot bounced off the rim, not when the "contact" occurred during the shot.

I realize the refs called plenty of fouls on Texas, but it was inconsistent throughout the whole game.

And yes, clearly the Clones played like total crap and Texas gave them every opportunity to pull it out towards the end. It's just that the officiating was very, very frustrating.
