Maybe 1 more? Honestly we aren’t a program that expects to win natty’s. Our recruiting took a jump last year with tuck and this year he is making another big jump but it’s still way behind Ohio state. If the playoff stays at 4 maybe a playoff appearance every 4ish years while being in the mix for the big ten title on a regular basis will be fine with all but the most delusional fans.

Realistically as long as he continues to beat Michigan on a regular basis most fans will be happy.

Expecting a playoff berth once every four years is delusional too. The playoff has been around for 8 years. A team making it once every four years would have made it twice. There are only 6 teams that have made it at least twice. There are only 13 teams that have made it all.

Fair. We were in it once and then dantonio fell apart and cratered the program. Essentially beating Ohio state once every 4 years means that we should be in the big ten title game which would get us in the playoff.

Fingers crossed, I think (could be wrong) that the schedule has to be remade with the new additions of Washington and Oregon. In theory it should get harder even for Iowa but I’ll believe it when I see it.
