The tent controversy was 3 years ago, not last year.

4 years ago they started fights and got Montgomery kicked out.

Last couple years was chippy, if I remember, but no serious controversy that I remember. Maybe someone can enlighten me, if there was.

Think a lot of the BS has been better under Aranda, Rhule was a Dbag.
edit: corrected years

I haven't seen anything under Aranda that's out of the norm and with Rhule iirc there tended to be some **** with them in general.

With Aranda they just seem to be much more disciplined and play hard.

That's correct spelling and usage. It's a perfectly cromulent word.
Cromulent is very mediocre, but I like the word nontheless! LOL

What you want is a punctilious word like assiduous, very unflagging and sedulous! :D

The margins are real and we aren’t consistently winning them.
I dont know, this is a weird stat.

We are winning games at home.
We have won 2nd most conf games over the last few years.
We have won all conf home games for over 2 years.
etc

This is like picking the one stat that doesnt make us look good and using it against us.
Considering something like 95% of all our losses in last several years have been 1 score or less, it is going to look this way. But it doesnt take note of that. that basically all of our losses have been coin flips. That in most of our seasons we were one possession of being the winner in all of these games. In most seasons we were a field goal, a 2pt conversion, etc of having 10+ wins instead of 7-8. That in the last several years we have only a couple losses that are by more than a touchdown, so a stat like this looks worse than it is, Because we are not losing any game by more. We are in every game. And all the other games not listed for the most part we won.

Not exactly sure.
So the line continues to move our way. Now we are favored by 3.

Anyone have an idea what is moving the line?

What do you think is driving it to go from starting at Baylor being favored by 3 then slowly moving our direction and continuing to move?
More people betting on ISU.

Aranda and Rhule seem to be about as polar opposite as you can get. Aranda is respectful and a class act.

While I too would like general sales of alcohol to be a thing, who's paying for SEZ seats if that happens. The only advantage at that point is having a place to stay warm during the cold games.
Can a fan in a SEZ seat hit the End Zone with a 12-16 oz Miller?

Haven't seen it yet so that is a good thing!

Edit: I'm trying to be funny. I'm not against alcohol sales at Trice, but you make a good point here. And nothing is excusable for how some Iowa fans behaved, or other fans, or for having anything hard like a fully loaded beer can thrown onto the field during a game!

I'm proud of us ISU fans! We seem to be fairly well-behaved. Nothing stops the drinking during tailgating or other pregame drinking activity outside the stadium though. Nothing really stops a fan or group of fans who really want to hide and bring alcohol into the stadium. But from what I hear, or don't hear rather, we haven't had fans misbehaving and throwing stuff onto the field or other non-cool behavior such as that. I could be wrong.

No excuse for Aranda. None.

He's too likable. :(

Edit: I did think the thing with them withholding shade (tents) was last year. It wasn't last year, but 2019 then?

I finally got around to watching this. Holy s**t! I've never heard Aranda speak before. Talk about mellow and philosophical and zen like..... wow! I had to look at his background, and of course he has a bachelors degree in philosophy. The guy is talking about the ego, the Matrix (the movie), and all kinds of philosophical stuff. So impressed by him.

Can't ever even imagine him getting all pumped up and excited.
I'm thinking the next game where a Baylor player makes a winning play, Aranda might say, " I was very pleased with that," or, "I really appreciated the team effort there to get it in the End Zone," in a very calm, matter of fact manner. :D

I was today years old when I found this out.

You're right! It IS a perfectly cromulent word!

ALSO -- apparently spell check is totally OK with "cromulent" now??? Awesome! This information has embiggened my life.
Cromulent just went into my word saves.

The next one I'm considering is embiggened!! :)

CFU!

KU has sold out their game against Duke. If we can't sell out against the Top 25 defending Big 12 Champs in Baylor, with our first 3-0 start since 2012, I will be dissapointed.

I agree on the disappointment. I do wonder, though, how many of those tickets In Lawrence were in the $5-$10 range. You aren’t getting in JTS for 5 bucks.
