I know. Brendon isn't smart enough to know they were lying to him. He kept guessing the answers they wanted until they were right, just like he did in school on his test.
This blew my mind. Not making fun when I say this, but for both individuals not knowing what inconsistent meant just shows mentally challenged they were
Both Brendan's and Steve's IQ's were measured at 70 from what was presented (and if i'm recalling correctly). This isn't a case of where he just isn't smart...20 years ago it was called mental retardation. Think about that. And for those that aren't that familiar with the IQ system...100 is designed to be the average score of everyone. Most everyone falls between 90-110. 70 is EXTREMELY low. I don't know whether either of them did this or not...i just know that they weren't proven guilty from what I saw. And that stuff coming out about the lead prosecutor and sexually harassing women...go read that story. Proves what I think everyone thought about him from the start...he's shady.

Good point. Obviously, someone is not presumed innocent in that county, especially that family. Clearly, that family was not real bright and was despised by law enforcement.
I saw this today, I guess what the ending was going to be but it more horrific than what I could even imagine.
I just finished the series last night: obviously it was heavily biased, but even then I'm not sure how there wasn't reasonable doubt in either case
I thought it was interesting in the last episode where, prior to the brother giving his comments on sentencing, they show that "things I love" video of Theresa: in it she says "I love my sisters" - nothing about her brother (unless I'm remembering this wrong)

Yet they somehow pulled off a masterful job of cleaning up the blood in the garage and the trailer...
They obviously tanked their IQ scores years in advance because they knew one day it could help them to look dumb, the true long con.

Not to mention the earlier video where she says, "If I die and you watch this" or something to that effect, like she knew something bad could happen to her, coupled with the odd phone calls/phone records as noted by her co-worker and then the ex-bf. I think she had a stalker, and I don't think it was Steve Avery.
Did anyone else automatically hear Saul Goodman when Dean Strang spoke? Must be the Illinois/Wisconsin accent. He even kind of looks like him.
That was me. As brutal as it is, it's still probably the best documentary I've ever seen.
The answer to the jury question is in there. The defense ran out of strikes and they felt the two jurors in question were better than six others they struck.
