When people misspell my name, especially if they are responding to, or referencing me, in an email. Trust me...it's not that tough of a name either (about 3 variations is all).
Is it really that hard to look at the signature??
In no particular order:
- Hawk fans.
- Teachers (like my mother-in-law) who make $60K, work nine months a year and claim they are "massively underpaid".
- Unions. Good performers don't excel, poor performers don't get fired. Single-handedly responsible for the downfall of American industry and the education system. They are socialist organizations that fly the American flag and it's all a sham.
- Liberals. Most of them can't tell you why they're liberals. They vote for whoever is "cool" or whoever their union tells them to vote for. Actually, that sounds like Hawk fans, teachers, union members AND liberals.
- People who sit in the left turn lane without pulling into the intersection and go through an entire cycle of the light without turning. You CAN pull ahead and complete your turn on red after oncoming traffic has stopped, you know.
- Politicians. They will say WHATEVER gets them elected and do NONE of it. Remember how huge an issue energy policy was in the last election? Not a WORD about it since.
- Basketball coaches. They are slimy used car salesman with nice suits. Not The Mayor, of course.
- People who think they could get up off their couch, pick up a whistle and instantly do a better job than highly-trained sports officials. But when offered the opportunity, they never do.
- Packaging. Why is it I have to risk injury to open a package nowadays? I should not have to have a special tool in my toolbox for opening DVDs.
- Work. It sucks.
There are many more I'm sure I'm forgetting. This list will have to do for today because I'm at work. And it sucks.
The problem with the bolded part is that if the people from both directions do this, it makes it harder to see around each other. The reason for the stop bar is that is the location you are supposed to stop, not just to use up some extra paint.
All of the people on here and in person that correct my grammar. I'm not in your english class. If you do not like the way I type or the way I talk then dont read my posts or stand/sit where you can hear me talk.
I seem to have survived for this long without the superior knowledge that you have when using the English language, so there.
Hopefully I didnt misspell anything here![]()
You left out an apostrophe in the word didn't, and you left out a period at the end of the sentence.Hopefully I didnt misspell anything here![]()
My point in asking this question back to people was not to assemble a user's guide. I wanted to see just what you guys thought a local media guy could say or do that has any influence at all...because I don't see it, period.
