I don't dislike Fred at all. More power to him. But I don't have to care about him either. He's just not the passionate Cyclone fan that I thought he was, that's all.

And don't give me this crap that he can still be a passionate Cyclone fan and coach at Nebby. Nope, sorry, you can't do both IMO. He's recruiting straight up against ISU now, which will make ISU worse off. I don't care about Fred anymore.

I didn't click it, and I won't. I stopped listening to the radio show, it's just awful. I seriously wonder if Randy is aware that basically the entire fanbase of the team he covers thinks he's legitimately bad. Not mad at him because he's not nice enough to the home team, just annoyed that he writes such crap.
I listen because of Randy. It’s like rubber-necking a car wreck. I do not read his articles, however.

Those two..Randy and Birch are two of the least educated sports people I’ve ever listened to. Unfortunately they are reporting on isu..On a pod last week Randy was convinced isu fball was done adding people..he was adamant about it...any educated isu fan knew cmc was still in pursuit of Wilson the judo wr and heck we might still add a judo OL yet..

But the Fred stuff is truly, incredibly, annoying. He has a public forum to make isu fans seem like we are all writing letters to Fred daily begging him to change his mind and we are all seeking therapy bc he’s at Nebraska...Someone with some sanity in the local media needs to have a sit down with Randy and please tell him to stop. It’s just increasing resentment toward the register and making isu fans look bad when 99% of isu fans could care less about Fred.

I think a petition is in order to remove him from covering ANYTHING related to Iowa State. And yes, he's a hawk or just isn't very smart. Or both....

It's late spring/early summer. It's an article about something related to Iowa State. There are a ton of Iowa State fans in western Iowa and Nebraska, it's still a relevant story. Count me in the group that appreciates the articles. I don't have to agree with all of them or even read them, I just like that they are out there.

How is Cyclone Insider still a thing? That's what I would like to ask Chris. I mean I listen as it's entertaining but that can't be an easy thing to do.

Thats so weird because you would think all those things he's superior to Hoiberg at would result in alot more wins, especially in Hilton.
Don't know which one is better at all those things, but I do know one thing for certain, Prohm wants to be in Ames and Hoiberg doesn't. That's the most important thing in a head coach IMO.

I guess I don't get it. I like Fred, he has done more for the Cyclones than the 1001 fans mad about him going to Nebraska, but at the same time the guy is a basketball coach, that is what he does. The Huskers are a great fit for him. If he has better than marginal success there he could become their best coach ever. It seems a little weird to see him in Red and White, but he is definitely a Husker now.
