HILARIOUS. The Yankees really got de-pantsed in this off-season. I was hoping he went to Texas, because I like how they play ball, but I'll take anyone over the Yankees.
I suppose now they will go after Greinke, but can he handle playing in New York? His psyche has already been an issue in small-market KC.

This is now the greatest starting rotation in baseball history. The Phillies will be in every game they play, and can count on every starter going 7 innings.
When he waited for a couple weeks to sign with the Yankees, you could tell he was waiting for some other team to come forward, and the Phillies saw the opening.
Lee signed for less because he loved the team, the manager, and the passionate fan base.

Hamels is really close but I wouldn't put him in that category yet.

I think they are in trouble since Werth went to the Nationals. He was the glue to that team. Not Hamels, Lee, Oswalt, Halladay. forgot the

You're kidding right? Oswalt has been around 10 years and Hamels 5. They basically have the same numbers, just doubled for Oswalt based on year's played. I'd take Hamels over Oswalt, but either way, you have 4 aces. You could throw almost anyone in as the #5 starter and you still have the best rotation in baseball.

Careful. While I don't necessarily disagree that the Phillies' new rotation could be better, let's not forget about the Braves rotations in the 90's. 3 first ballot hall of fame pitchers and a very solid 4th (Avery, Neagle, etc). It's at the very least a worthy argument. This year however, looks like everyone else in the National League is playing for 2nd place. Wow what a rotation!
